"You essentially stay inside the walls of a large estate with a central courtyard. Our room on the second floor with a balcony overlooked the courtyard. The small town has two Michalin rated restaurants that are excellent. The location is difficult to find the first time and you should plan your arrival during daylight hours. The staff is excellent and lent us books and maps during our stay. Breakfasts were remarkable. "

"We were thinking about staying for the night in San Marino, when I stumbled on this beautiful treasure just by chance. Located only about 20 minutes away through winding mountain roads - this is a 1000 year old castle that a wonderfully friendly couple had bought and renovated into a handful of guest rooms. "The property was exactly as listed - beautiful scenery and far away from neighbours so that you feel comfortable in your own bubble. Due to heavy storms we had a couple of issues with cloudy water and power going out, but the only thing outside of the hosts abilities was changing the weather! Whenever the power went Chiara and Davide came to our aid instantly and were nothing short of understanding and amazing every time. Cannot recommend this villa and host enough. 15/10."
