"Lovely stay. Super friendly and hospitable staff. Room was very comfortable and looked brand new. Pub is lovely with great beers, and fabulous service. It was a perfect stopover for us from the south on our way up to York. Not too far from the M1 but right in the heart of the beautiful Derwent Valley. only 2 things that would have made it better (for us)... 1. a little more 'fresh' options on the menu - lots of the food was 'brown and fried' which is fine for a pub, but a few more healthier...
