You will not find another cabin like this one! The Nest @ Hoot Owl Hollow is like 2 cabins in one, the king suites are very private. Professionally decorated with comfort & style in mind. Enjoy beautiful woods view & walk to Mentone's village & Brow. Renovated classic 1880's log cabin, perfect place to unwind & reboot in comfy, rustic/modern style. MBR ensuite bath w/2 vanities, clawfoot tub, shower. GBR w/bath & separate bunkroom for kids of all ages. Modern kitchen w/gas range . Covered front porch & stone patio with wood fireplace, wood included. Living room has gas fireplace & comfortable seating. Perfect for couples/ families!
You will feel like you are in the middle of the woods YET you are only a couple of "blocks" away from Mentone's Log Cabin Village, The Wildflower Cafe (3/10 mile) , Elevation Bistro (4/10 mile) & Mentone Market (4/10 mile) .
On Saturday's you can walk to Mentone's Farmer Market, next to the Mentone Inn (2/10 mile walk) & have lunch @ Fontastic Food Truck (slow cooking, worth the wait!)
Brow Park is a 7/10 mile walk from The Nest.
DeSoto Falls is 3.1 miles or less than 10 minute drive.
DeSoto State Park is 8.6 miles or 15-20 minute drive.
Little River Canyon Center is 18 miles or 27 minute drive.
You may see turkey, deer, groundhogs or even a bear walking through the woods of The Nest.

Magical Mentone
This was our second stay in a month. Needless to say, we LOVE this whimsical, artistic escape just off the main roads through Mentone and to Desoto Falls. Plenty of outdoor space for our Golden Retriever too!

Cozy Cabin
We enjoyed our time at The Nest. It was cozy and had most everything we needed. The location is great and the cabin feels private even though there are other cabins nearby on the property.

Quiet, relaxing getaway
Such a charming cabin! Had everything we needed, was perfectly cozy, and we could do exactly what we wanted to right from the cabin . . . toured Mentone, ate at the Tiger Inn in Valley Head, hiked Desoto Falls right down the road, and relaxed with hot drinks and books and movies. Perfect getaway.

Wonderful trip to Mentone
Mentone is a quaint little town. A must see. Our cabin was very nice. 1880 log cabin that has been renovated. Hosts were very nice. We went for the longest yard sale. Had a blast.

Girlfriend Reunion
The perfect place for our 8th annual girlfriend (high school friends) reunion. The cabin was perfect in every way. It was every bit as described!! We would definitely choose this house again! Mentone was the perfect getaway!

Perfect weekend getaway
My husband and I loved the property, felt like we were visiting a cabin that had been in the family for years. All of the artwork, unique furniture, and details made for a cozy visit. The bathtub was perfect, restful sleep on the bed, and we also loved the outdoor area. The full moon was beautiful through the trees, and during the day watching the leaves fall was so relaxing. Not to mention so close to everything! Super fast wifi too, which is great because we had no other reception in the area. Decided to stay an extra day last minute and Juli made it happen with little effort. Thanks again for a great stay!

Perfect Mentone Cabin!
We booked for 3 nights and wished for 3 more! The Nest was like home to us. I’ve never seen such an artfully decorated cabin, just beautiful! Very nice, comfortable furniture, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Front porch rockers, and a big stone patio with a fireplace were our sources of relaxation and peace. Close to town, close to DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. A bonus was meeting Juli and Pat, the gracious owners, who have created a wonderful retreat!

More than Enough
Beautiful cabin. 3 bedroom, 2 bath. Huge shower. Footed tub. Fireplace in living room. Covered porch, seperate area outdoor with fireplace. Up graded appliances. Hardwood floors. Large outdoor for kids to play. The owner Juli was wonderful. Will be coming back next year.

Nice getaway
Cabin was a nice getaway during the Christmas holiday. The owners were great at communicating with us about an issue with the heat. It broke the day we were checking in and they called to discuss the issue. They provided us space heaters to use along with the gas log fireplace. It worked out great. Fontastic Food truck is right down the street and worth stopping at on the weekend. Our dogs enjoyed the cabin and meeting the neighborhood armadillo. We were all able to relax which was the main point of the trip. Cabin is unique in a good way and there's a nice outdoor space when the weather good.
