Come stay at a peaceful, open and airy home on beautiful Mud Island. All the convenience and excitement of downtown is a short drive across a small bridge. There are four bedrooms all upstairs but one is set up as an office. The largest room has a couch and TV for a lounge area. Kitchen has several updates. Separate laundry room and two car garage. Enjoy the sunset on your master bedroom balcony or relaxing front porch swing. There are great amenities to enjoy on Mud Island. Come stay!
A roomy and comfortable house with so much charm! The living room has couch seating for six. This gives way to a kitchen and open floor plan with a dining room table for six as well. Additional seating is at two barstools. There is also a table for eight in the small side yard. Upstairs is a large room with bunk beds of a twin and full below. Also in this room is a couch. A private office is perfect for working remotely or fueling creativity. The next bedroom has a queen bed and is next to a full bath. The master suite has a king bed, dresser and en suite bathroom with a tub and separate shower. Also a walk in closet if you need it! This is also where you will find a relaxing screened porch with seating for three. Below is a front porch swing on the inviting porch. Kitchen has all you need for cooking and dining.
The maximum sleeping capacity is 8 and that would have two people in the full bed and one person on a couch. This also incurs a fee for each guest above 6.
Mud Island is a section of downtown Memphis that has the feel of a quaint neighborhood. You are separated from the hustle of downtown and can take a walk on the path next to the Mississippi River. There is also a small grocery store (Miss Cordelia’s) with a great Deli and a few other amenities on the Island about 5 minutes from the house. Just over the bridge is all the excitement of downtown including Beale Street, Fed Ex Forum, the National Civil Rights Museum, Hanrahan Bridge, Autozone Park, fantastic restaurants and so much more! The home is also less than 10 minutes from St. Jude Hospital and the Medical District.
FYI: The bedroom with the queen bed is next to the utility closet and in the winter you can hear the furnace. It is like a blowing sound. If you have a light or sensitive sleeper intended for that room this would likely not work for them.
