"We arrived far too early for check in but the staff still tried to find us a room. This wasn’t necessary as we were planning to explore the city. But as soon as we arrived the lobby, reception, and restaurant were all very well maintained and decorated charmingly for the Christmas period. Our room was spacious and comfy with tea, coffee, snacks and quality shower products provided. We ended up having our evening meal in the restaurant and both the service and food were great. "This Hotel was a great hotel a few years ago and we always enjoyed our time there.On this visit I was surprised to find a lot of the little extras such as Tissue’s, Shower gels,just the little extras that made it special.The Hotel just needs updating and it will be the perfect place to visit for its so central to the centre of town and the main Train Station."

"Beautiful hotel with a lovely pool and spa area. Excellent location. The only issue was the restaurant which was extremely loud and not ideal for our group. The library bar was closed and not accessible to our group unfortunately. The service in the restaurant at dinner was very poor we eventually left without an offer of deserts or coffees . "

"The hotel is very accessible to the airport. I will use again for the convenience. Staff are friendly but check in I found to be slow at times due to not enough staff on reception area. Good is fantastic. I only had three breakfast but I was more than pleased. Also stored my suitcase for a couple of hours after checkout so that I could collect when my flight was ready to check in. "Had an excellent 1 night stay at the Motel One, Royal Exchange. I was greeted on arrival by Ginevra on front desk who is a credit to the hotel. The hotel is in a very convenient location within easy walking distance of many city centre amenities and the rooms are clean and comfortable."
