Nothing was unique about this place it's filthy should be shut down for reservations before actually being able to open again,it's been a week since I stayed I'm still feeling heavy from the moldy room

Close to public transport- has dinner and breakfast in dining room option. Happy hour. Ironing board and iron in room. Safe in room. Tea/coffee in room. Byo other drinks & biscuits. Provides shampoo/ conditioner, tissues and soap. Down lights above pillows allow guest to read. Would stay again

After hours check was simple to follow. Room was very basic which suited my personal needs which was a comfortable bed with clean sheets. The amenities were somewhat lacking with poor maintenance, carpet was torn leading into the bathroom which was a tripping point. Holes in the vanity unit base where mould was visible. Silastic sealed edges on bath shower had mould under it and further mould through room. The entrance to the building was dingy and narrow, only 1 of 3 elevators were working. Photos supplied of room and conditions were not anything like reality. Personally would not choose to stay here again.

the room we get is not the one we booked. looked totally different. there's mould in the toilet and inside the fridge. accommodation is at a great location, but needs to work on the cleaniness the the room and provide same room as booked.

It’s the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. If you’re in a low budget well, prepare for exactly that. If you can’t decide between saving 20-50 bucks don’t doubt it and go somewhere else. There were bugs in the towels and in the room; they need to fumigate. The rug was really dirty, the kettle was in miserable conditions the same as the tub and sink. There was a really strange smell always and the staff in the front desk was totally unfriendly and totally unhelpful. The only good thing about this place is the location. I have pictures and videos about the awful conditions. They only cleaned my room once in 5 nights and there was fungus in the tub. Really if you can stay somewhere else DONT DOUBT it… they don’t have sanity conditions here.

Shabby but practical! I stayed for a few nights during July. The room was GRIM: dark, dreary and dated. Some areas had a lot of accumulated dust, my son was afraid to use the shower due to the chips and stains. We spent a lot of time in the neighbouring McDonalds to avoid being in the room. No heating in winter though the room stayed at around 17 or 18 degrees. And there was a lot of draft and ambiant street noise from the window. On a positive note: the double room was surprisingly spacious, with it's own sofa, and separated kitchenette area. This was definitely the high point, having a microwave, fridge, kettle, and plates and cutlery. SO practical with supermarkets around the corner. The young man who works at the front desk is also polite and helpful. In short, for the price it was fine. If they refreshed the decor a little it would really be a hidden gem in the city.

Central location, great value for money
The hotel was very centrally located - very happy with that. The room, although clean, might have done with a fresh coat of paint. That said, communications were good and overall value for money for a central Melbourne spot was very good.

It was the worst hotel experience I've had. The room smelled terrible, there was mold in the shower, the floors were dirty, material on the chair was ripped, several of the power points didn't work, there was a single flat pillow and hard concrete edges around a very narrow single bed, there was no wifi -- the reality of the room was a far cry from the advertising photo. The location so close to Flinders St. was the attraction, but everything else about the stay was awful. I couldn't wait to check out. I'll never be going back

I was disappointed in the dilapidated state of the room and the foyer should have been my first warning. Broken, loose or missing fittings. Dirty bathroom floors. Loose and peeling paint on a wall, towels that thin they were transparent. No plates or knife should you wish to use the toaster. And yes it's a budget hotel but it misses the mark on cleanliness. Safety wise I hope my room was the only one with a plastic bag tied around the smoke director.
