It was not as clean, the shower screen support was loose, the tv was hanging and not working properly. The furniture on the terrace was very dirty, we cleaned it before we could sit down. "Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over 2 bridges. Lots to explore and many eating choices there. "
