"We were welcomed and checked in warmly by reception. We had also pre-registered online by the welcome email from Hotel Baren. Their staff went the extra mile to provide extra latex pillow and fixed the safe locking error when requested. We booked the Comfort room which faces the back of the surrounding buildings but we figured the view is likely to be due to the different sizes of the room. "We were warmly welcomed and provided with excellent information about the hotel, dining options and a Basel Travel card to use on all public transport. Reception staff were excellent. Public transport stops are located close by the hotel as is old town, which is an easy walk. Hotel rooms were a great size with very good amenities. The restaurant on site provides an excellent breakfast at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this Hotel."
