"We were driving from the UK to the south west of France and wanted somewhere to stay en route. What a wonderful surprise this place was. The house is a big, beautiful, old (really old!) property with very generous rooms and lovely ensuite bathrooms. The hosts are very welcoming and generous. Saintes - who knows why that big town is not more widely known as a tourist destination. Incredible architecture, lovely river walks, greta places to eat. And the best bit - we have 2 large excitable dogs...

Un petit reproche toutefois; un léger bruit provenant d'un appareil électrique perturbe un peu votre nuit. Mais on s'y fait. Sinon, rien à redire. Cette chambre est excellente"

Mais par contre l'annonce avec les 500 metres pour aller a la plage n'est pas correcte il y a un peu plus quand même du coup un peu difficile lorsque vous avez des tout petits comme nous... La literie est a revoir. Belle piscine que nous n'avons pas pu utiliser a cause du temps"

"We have just spent half term with our grandchildren at Sylvain’s property. The property was very secure, completely enclosed. The pool cover was lockable to avoid any accidents. The pool was heated which was a bonus. There was plenty of outside space for relaxing and dining. Inside, the living area was spacious, and the beds were very comfortable.
