Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
CONS:
- tried to charge me for more than my reservation quote, claiming that the posted rate was accidentally too low
- owners need to communicate better with staff, so that staff can communicate better with guests: upon check-in, I was told I could opt to pay at check-out, and then I was hounded for 3 days, morning and evening, about paying up
- bathroom had stray hair strands
- of the 2 glass doors separating the shower stall from the rest of the bathroom, one was completely missing
- bug crawled across the floor
- Internet was definitely not the advertised 50 Mbps; standing right next to the modem, I never cleared 20 Mbps. I had several connection issues during work calls and ultimately gave up on sitting in my room, instead sitting at the check-in desk, with my laptop out in the open, to get a reliable connection
- room door had a decorative opening above it but not filled in with glass, so my sleep was disturbed by all the late-night chatter at the check-in desk by friends of staff
- cramped bathroom (keep the toilet lid closed when you're not using it so stuff doesn't fall in)
PROS:
- spacious room
- comfy bed
- fan was strong and easy to position (no A/C)
- shower was hot with good water pressure
- staff compensated me for a check-in issue by offering free breakfast for the rest of my stay
- staff was kind and did their best to respond to issues (but were hamstrung by owners)
- advised me on how best to reach the hotel for a late-night arrival
