"We stayed two nights at The Marquess of Exeter on our way home from the west country. The room was lovely, very comfortable and clean. We ate there both evenings and the food was excellent. Lyddington is a very pretty little village, we enjoyed walking with our dog around by the church and in the countryside. We requested a downstairs room which had the advantage of doors into the gardens, this was very helpful to take our dog outside. The gardens do need tidying up but I expect they will do...

"Really friendly Staff. Good food and bargain at low cost. Great Parking. Just a little noisy with busy road passing by had to close window during nighttime. On the whole great place to hole up if visiting Leicester."

"My room was very clean, tea and coffee facilities and lovely clean towels , the shower was hot I only went to breakfast the once due work commitments but for a continental breakfast there was plenty , the coffee was delicious , no noise from the pub under the rooms would definitely return and recommend. "A 1 night stay for work reasons. The pub and food are excellent with a good selection at a reasonable price. My room was comfortable but very cold due to the old leaking sash windows. All in all for the price it's ok for a 1 night stay. "

"This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland. "
