OVERVIEW:
McMinnville's Third Street is home to a number of tasting rooms, coffee shops, and award-winning restaurants just a short walk from Hideaway House. The charm of the tree lined streets in downtown McMinnville is part small town, part wine lovers paradise.
There are over 220 wineries and vineyards in and around McMinnville. So start early, but take your time because there is a good chance you won't get to each one on this stay. Shoot for 3-4 wineries in a day but don't be disappointed when you only make it to two. This means that you're enjoying yourself.
GETTING AROUND:
Have your walking shoes ready because you can get to everything you need on foot from Hideaway House. That includes tasting rooms, breweries, restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and a local grocery store.
If you feel like driving or hiring a car service, you're in luck. You'll need weeks if not months to tour the wineries and vineyards in the Willamette Valley. You are welcome back anytime!
If you would rather let someone else do the driving, Uber and Lyft can be used. Though they aren't as readily available as they would be in bigger cities, with a little patience you'll still be able to get around.
