Mermaid Cove 5 stars!
great spot for hitting the beaches and redwoods and returning home for a good meal and hot tub. 3 bedrooms all offer great ocean views.

We were all set to stay at the mermaid house. All payments have been made, and then we were informed that these owners pulled out from this platform so we never were able to enjoy the mermaid house which made us very very disappointed. However, Vacasa stepped up to the plate and helped us find another place to stay at.

Awesome, relaxing stay!
We very much enjoyed our week at Mermaid Cove! The house is exquisitely decorated and has everything you need! We enjoyed the view of the ocean, hot tub and large kitchen very much. We had a great week visiting the beach & redwoods in the area.

Amazing Beach House
We loved this house. It was perfect for our annual friends book vacation. We loved how spacious it was and enjoyed sitting on the porch (or in the hot tub) watching the ocean as we relaxed. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. Plus the beds are so comfortable we contacted the property manager to find out what mattresses they had. Overall amazing stay.

Great space to be with family
The information for check-in and check-out were clear and easy. We loved the house. Large open space to hang out with a great kitchen. Nice that each bedroom had it's own private bathroom. Also, loved the hot tub and views. So easy to access the walking/biking trails and very easy to get on/off the highway to get to the house. Thanks so much!!

Beautiful House
When you first walk in the door you are greeted with amazing views. The house is very well stocked with everything you might need and more. The location is amazing with the River, the Ocean and Trails right out your front door. The neighborhood is peaceful and quiet. There is so many things to do two days was not enough time, we definitely have to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Mermaid Cove. The house was clean and well-stocked. The hot tub and fire table outside are awesome when combined with the amazing views! They also had cornhole outside, which we loved. It's important to note that the house doesn't have actual access to the beach. The views are great though!

Mermaid Cove - True to its name
This is a superb vacation home. One of the best we’ve been to, if not the best. Very clean, and with great attention to detail. Perfect locations for a Redwoods trip. Complete privacy and ocean views from every room. We are a family of 5 and were very comfortable in the house. Also, the vacasa team is very responsive and answered our questions immediately. The most interesting thing about the house - is that it is 100% following the ocean/mermaid theme. They really went overboard with this, with every little detail. You have to see it to believe it.

Mermaid Bliss
This was the perfect size home, in the perfect location, with the most perfect decor for my group of friends. The house was very clean and as advertised. It was actually so much cuter in person. There was a break in the weather to enjoy the patio, fire pit, and hot tub. The beds were big and comfortable, and every room had its own bathroom and slider door to the outside. The kitchen was well stocked, although we did not use it. I cannot say enough about this rental and the great service I received from Vacasa staff before and after our stay. I highly recommend and would stay here again.

Beautiful & fully stocked!
This property had it all. Absolutely stunning views, and every room was completely stocked. We had everything we needed to have an amazing stay. The hot tub was great to relax while we watched the waves roll in. The beds were clean and comfortable with high quality mattresses. Each room had a slider to the deck, and an en suite bathroom. They also had electric fireplaces to take the ocean chill away. The common areas were stocked with all creature comforts and necessities including towels and throw blankets to cuddle up on the oversized sectional. A large driveway easily accommodated 2 vehicles (one a dually) with more than enough room to spare. Decor was stunning and no detail was missed keeping the mermaid/beach theme throughout the house. We had no complaints and saved this as a favorite property since we’d love to visit again in the future.

The home was absolutely wonderful! It was the most well appointed rental I've ever stayed in. There was only one thing I could think of that this house didn't have and that was a set of sheets for the pull-out couch.(Which I was told was very comfortable!) But we were able to improvise. The name Mermaid Cove certainly lived up to it's promise! More mermaids and mermaid themed items than I would have ever imagined in one place. It was so much fun looking at them all!! There was a sufficient amount of toys, puzzles and coloring materials for the little ones and everything was in good working order. The beds were comfortable the spa was clean, the neighborhood was quite and the view was to die for!!

Great sunsets! (but beware Vacasa)
Great place to watch the sunsets, but if you have a house issue that needs fixing, good luck with Vacasa customer service. There was a business card on the counter that had a local number to call for help, do that first if there's a problem. Also, Vacasa didn't send me the code to unlock the door until less than 24-hrs prior to our arrival, which was uncomfortable. I actually called them to get the code before their automated e-mail came through. Expect a long hold if you call Vacasa.

Birthday getaway in paradise
Outstanding! Even better than the pictures. The mood was set from the moment we arrived. Jazz music, soft lighting, perfect temperature setting and amazing decor. We arrived shortly after sunset so we missed what I am sure was an amazing sunset but we enjoyed a different one each night there after. Great location right next to the Hammond Trail and close to Arcata, Eureka and Trinidad. It was so private, peaceful and relaxing but close enough to enjoy all the area has to offer (ocean and big trees) and so much more. We hated to leave each day because it was so relaxing but we also wanted to explore nature. This home has such attention to detail in everyway from the comfortable bed, the decor to everything you could possibly need to prepare your own meals. Loved the hot tub and playing pool. We enjoyed eating at Larrupin's in Trinidad for a delicious birthday meal. Also, enjoyed a Lua Lomi Massage in Arcata. The Vacasa staff was also very attentive to any questions that we had during our stay. I can't say enough about how wonderful this house was.

We loved this place. Everything was as advertised and was very clean. Small free standing heater in living area was inoperable but really didn't need it. We would definitely stay here again if in the area.
