Tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood less than a mile from the Massanutten Resort slopes, Maple Highlands is a 4BR/4BA estate that provides a picture-perfect mountaintop hideaway.
Boasting almost 2,500 square feet of inviting living space, the bright and open floor plan is highlighted by a luxurious all-suite layout and fine decor assembled by world travelers. Cozy up by the gas fireplaces, whip up delicious dishes in the well-equipped kitchen, or host a cookout on the two large mountain-view decks.
The Mountain Greens Golf Course and Massanutten Indoor Water Park are just minutes away.

The Massanutten Indoor Water Park (4.4 miles) is also just minutes away.

This home is in a private residential neighborhood and is part of the Massanutten Property Owners
Association (MPOA), governed by its rules and regulations. There are rental homes in all MPOA
neighborhoods, but people also live here. Your nearby neighbors may be full-time residents, including
families with children, retirees, second-home owners and other guests enjoying their retreat.

• No excessive noise at any time, as judged by MPOA or its assigned agents.

• No buses, campers, or RVs to be parked at homes or on roads. Overflow lot is available with
written approval from your host.

Great weekend with friends!
We stayed here with friends and enjoyed our time together. Staying in this home with four bedrooms with en-suites made it comfortable for everyone. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be addressed but all in all we enjoyed staying here.

We had 8 of us staying in this house and we all had a wonderful time. Would definitely stay here again. Only negative was that the pillows in all the rooms were very flat. Everything else was wonderful!

Great house! Great for multiple families with two bedrooms up and two down with sitting areas in both. Clean, has everything you need for a weekend get away. Communication was excellent. Very close to the slopes! Needs a few updates but nothing that should affect you having a great stay! Highly recommend

We had a great 3 day weekend with the family. The house was the right size for our family of 8 with lots of room to spread out. The top deck was great for morning coffee and day planning. We wiould definitely stay again.

This property served our needs well. The driveway was steep and could not easily accommodate 4 pickup trucks. It was perfect for two vehicles.

Over all stay was good.
The property had more shrubs than pictures showed. The bathroom door to bedroom with double bed did no close. Its the one that also comes into the sitting area downstairs. The hot water was not hot enough only warm enough to not be cold. The place overall was good and we did enjoy our stay. We did not communicate with property manger only thru email.

The outside of the house is looking nice, but inside is very old furnished. The walls and doors are very stained and dirty. The furniture is very old. Most of the chairs are broken. One of the bathroom’s toilet seat is cracked. One of the couch pillow stinks like vomit. Futton bed is broken. And most importantly, kitchen drawers are full of rat feces.

Lots of space, but needs TLC
Based on previous reviews of this property, we had high expectations for this property. However, the home was subpar. The house was overall very dusty and dirty. We found dead worms under beds, mouse droppings in kitchen drawers, and ants throughout the kitchen and dining room. The bed frames were rickety, towel racks were broken, and one of the toilet seats was cracked. Walls and cabinets were beat up. The house was cluttered with outdated knick knacks that were often broken and collecting dust. Many lamps did not work and some outlets also did not work. This home has good potential but needs serious cleaning and cosmetic work.

The Pros: Great location on Massanutten Resort on a quiet street. Wildlife everywhere, even a raccoon family in the back yard tree! Property Manager easy to work with. Layout was perfect and very spacious. Beds were clean and comfortable. The Cons: This property has so much potential! There were many items that needed repair (deck boards rotting, ceiling peeling in living room, broken items throughout, structural issues in basement) and could use a good paint job inside. The property was very dated and had a lot of clutter decor. Being in the hotel business I can recognize dated does not mean dirty, but in this case there were a lot of cleanliness issues (dirty upstairs couches, bathrooms had moldy areas, one bathroom has a lot of someone’s hair left behind, shower curtains need cleaning/replacing, window ledges and blinds need cleaning ). The place could use a really good deep clean. Hopefully these items can be addressed for future renters.

It’s Just Ok
We booked this property for a New Years family trip. There are plenty of beds and the location is amazing, however the property could definitely use some work and overall cosmetic updates. The garbage disposal did not work. The hot water only lasted for one person to shower so everyone else had to accept having a cold shower each day. The house overall could use a good coat of paint. The walls were quite filthy. The checkout instructions sent to email and listed on VRBO are different from what is left in home so that should be updated. Overall the resort itself is very nice and if you don’t plan to spend much time in the home it serves its purpose. Our family also rented a second nearby home which was in much better repair which is why this home has to have such a harsh review, especially considering the price point.
