Cabin was great. Right on the river. The trail down to the river was quite steep and we were unable to access the river. Very disappointing. This should have been better described in the listing. Would suggest upgrading the trail for easier access to the river.

Beautiful place to stay overlooking the river.
We loved staying at this home away from home. It has lots of beds to choose from, some are uncomfortable, but it is wonderful for each person to have their own space. We definitely want to stay here again. Oh, and it is pet friendly, which is the icing on the cake. I'm so glad we found such a nice pet friendly place to stay.

Great location with plenty of beds. It is also pet friendly which is a huge bonus. The location over the river is very peaceful and beautiful. Only negatives are that the bigger beds are too soft, and that the wood stove is difficult to keep going.

Cozy
It’s a cozy cabin! The kitchen has all the essentials you would need. The oven did not work however and a technician came to try to fix it who had no idea what he was doing. It never got fixed which was a huge bummer for our dinner plans.

We had a great time. There were just a couple things that we thought you would like to know. 1. The internet dropped alot during our stay. 2. Would of been nice to have instructions on how to operate the TV. 3. We had to clean out the BBQ and buy a brush to clean it out. We also purchased briquettes. Other than that it was a great stay..

The location of this cabin was great. The deck and areas around the cabin were not very well maintained. The inside of the cabin was clean except for the carpets that we thought were pretty dirty. The heaters in the main living area did not work and it was early fall (it was cold in the morning and evening) so we had to use the wood stove which was a challenge with no kindling available. There was a tv available with Roku however no instructions were provided on how to use it.

Not Coming Back
The cabin was disappointing after so many positive online reviews. I would not return or recommend it. It did have a beautiful deck and the sound of the water was lovely. It was also, as advertised, close to town. These nice points did not make up for: (1) no ability to regulate the temperature in the cabin or reach anyone to help. This was especially frustrating because “local support” was part of the advertising for this cabin; (2) dirty deck chairs and dishes left in dishwasher for us to unload; (3) no kitchen towels at all, so no ability to wash and dry dishes by hand; (4) no dishwasher detergent; (5) only a few paper towels for kitchen; (6) bedding seems worn out and it is unclear if the duvets are being washed in between guests; (7) screen to porch window is duct-taped but there are still holes; (8) some windows have no screens at all. There is just a general sense of disrepair (one of the bar stools wobbles) that makes it feel like a rental.... instead of a well-cared-for home. It was not a terrible experience but I would not come back.

Charmingly rustic, but POORLY MANAGED!!
This is difficult to write, because you can feel the love that once was a part of this little cabin by the river. All you need do is look around at all the personal touches, and you will know how much the family treasured this retreat. But, things change, circumstances change, and this beautiful family asset is now a filthy, undermaintained, unsafe rental. The carpet is absolutely disgusting. The deck is in desperate need of replacement/repair, and the outdoor furniture has months of caked on dirt and grime. The kitchen stove was so greasy, it took four applications of the heavy-duty cleaner we found under the sink to clean it enough to be able to use it. One of the twin bed mattresses is off the frame or broken. The coverlet on the queen bed upstairs looked as if a wet dog had crawled up on it and slept. There was dog hair on the couch. There was hair (not ours) in the shower. The slider track, and all window tracks are filled with dead bugs, grime and who knows what else. We reported everything, with pictures to Vacassa, and this was their respose: "Please note that we have not yet received any update from our local staff about these issues. In case we do, we will get back to you". What???? We responded to say that perhaps their local staff should be looking for other jobs. As is the usual Vacassa response, they apologized. Sadly, this family asset is being destroyed by a sub-par management company. Terminate Vacassa!!

Cute cabin needs a few things
Upon walking into the cabin we were met with an overwhelming wet dog smell. If is a pet friendly property but I wanted to note this for those with sensitive smell. We took care of this with febreze, candles and airing it out. The cabin was just right for our group of four. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. I will note that there wasn't a crock pot, blender, ladle or spaghetti utensil so if you plan on needing these items you might bring your own. Towels were very limited for being a four day stay seeing that the cabin did not have a washer and dryer. There were only 6 towels for the four of us. Also, there were no kitchen wash cloths or a dish scrubber which made washing pots and pans interesting. We managed though. The water pressure was really good. The location on the river and proximity to town were great. Dining on the deck overlooking the river was really nice. Safety concerns-- boards on the deck had rotting and a hole your foot could probably go through. The front porch had a loose board. The bedroom blinds fell on my daughter as they were jimmy rigged up with a nail. Those items need definite repair before someone else gets hurt. Despite the few things mentioned, it was a great base camp for the following activities we highly recommend-- Renting a boat from cheap thrills for the morning before the lake gets too choppy. The wakeboard, skis, and tube are included as well as wet suits. Hiking to mountain lakes. We like Boulder for the amazing views and Box lake for the amazing alpine flowers in July. Rent bicycles and bike around the lake. The shop by the marina is where we went to get bikes. If you want ice cream in a big way, go to Payette Dream coffee shop. The single is huge! All in all, we had a great time in McCall.

Great relaxing stay!
This truly is a little hidden gem. The house has everything you need with a few extra touches! All instructions leading up to and at the stay were very clear and understanding. The best part is the river. Nothing like enjoying a cup of coffee on the balcony with the relaxation of the river sounds. Extremely close to town, yet you feel like you’re so far away! Truly a great place. We will be back 🙂

Such a peaceful and lovely stay!
Just 4 old friends that are empty nesters having a 2 night get away! Great location, and a clean, cute and lovely place to just be together. We were so happy to have a big driveway so we could safely park our boat. Bring your own condiments for the kitchen, just the basics provided. Comfortable beds and overall a wonderful stay! You must be very adventurous to walk down to the river! Beautiful sights and sounds. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Grandma get away
We took my mom and our 4 year old for a weekend get away. This cabin is a nice little cabin on the river in a quiet location. It was a great way to get out of town for a couple days without having to go camping because our son wanted his GiGi to go with us.

Cute little cabin. My wife and I really enjoyed staying there. Only thing I might recommend is a gas grill on the deck. There is a charcoal grill, but we did not have briquettes and didn’t want to go buy a bag to cook hamburgers.

Cozy home nestled in the woods!
Overall, this was a great stay! Super comfy and cozy, nestled back in the woods. Had all the amenities we needed and was a fantastic place! Loved all the rustic charm and details. Was clean and tidy. Awesome proximity to downtown McCall, while still being quiet and back off the main road. We biked most places and truly felt like locals! Thank you!

Perfect cabin for four. The access to the river requires a rope. I would not plan for river access on this property. The cabin itself was amazing, very clean, and good drinking water.

Sweet 16 success
I bought this trip for my daughter’s birthday present. She’d had a rough year and needed to get away from the stress of this area as we live in the desert. McCall was everything she needed. It was a beautiful cool area that had so many kind people that were welcoming to all of us! She didn’t want to leave!

Great little cabin along the river!
This house was a very cute little cabin along the Payette River! Great view off the back deck of the river. Only about 8 minutes from the center of town. The cabin has a small living space, but comfortable for up to 4 people. We never felt cramped in the cabin. There is wood available for the stove, but it was tricky to start and keep going. Wasn't worth the hassle for us. The kitchen is fully stocked for cooking, along with a few pantry staples like salt and flour. We were able to prepare most of our meals there with ingredients from the Albertson's in town. Great cabin, highly recommend!

Huckleberry Cabin
The cabin is good for a small group, While it has 3 bedrooms, there is only 1 1/2 baths, with one shower. For 2 people, it was fine. Pretty location on the Payette River, but river access is difficult. Kitchen has essentials & more, well located for outdoor activities.

Cabin
The photos do not do this amazing cabin justice The cabin was perfect in every way. The stream is gorgeous. The kitchen is well stocked (spices, oils, coffee) and the cabin was vey clean. The setting was very quiet and we saw deer from our front door. Vacasa needs to do a much better job of giving you the door code and wi-fi in a timely manner. That cost me a days worth of work. That would be the only reason I would not use this site again.
