"Chez Lillie was a great stay, the entire staff and pets on property are friendly. I’d suggest Google Maps for clear directions to the property. I would recommend going to the property for a couple of days for a stay-cation. 8/10, I loved it! "

"I have been staying at the Royam for work travel since 2012. It never disappoints. The staff are warm and friendly. The food just keeps getting better and better. The landscaping is immaculate and beautiful. If the Royam isn't available, I move my work travel dates. It is world-class."

"I had 1 night and 1 day as transit in Dakar, so I was searching for a place where I can chill, and I don’t regret my choice at all ! I took this hotel cause it had a spa, and when I arrived, they upgraded me and I got a jacuzzi in my room! fantastic! the terasse opens on the beautiful pool, the breakfast was very nice, and the staff super welcoming and smiling. Moreover, they let me check out at 15:00 instead of 12:00 so it shows me that they really want to male their customers happy. I got the massage in the afternoon and enjoyed the pool the rest of the day. Only positive there!"

"We had a very good stay and the property owner is a vey nice person unfortunately he is not not in town However the cleaning lady is a very nasty person .She is not doing a good job cleaning the place and have a very bad attitude.She was the only thing we had as a hick up otherwise the place is nice and located in a very secure neighborhood.. I will stay there again without that problem cleaning lady"

"I’m still a little shocked at the room we were provided given the $300USD per night cost. It was in shambles. So out of date. Spiders and ants in the restroom. Crumbling walls. We decided to tough it out since we were there for one night and mainly to use the beach (which was very nice). But we have a 11 month old baby and when we got back from dinner there was a giant water bug or cockroach running around the bathroom. I couldn’t have my baby sleeping in a crib with so many bugs around. I was shocked they gave us this room, knowing we had an infant and putting us all the way at the end, where the sounds from the nightly hotel entertainment were audible. When I showed reception a video of the bug, they gave us a new room right away. This room was much nicer and perhaps more in line with the cost but I think the room is probably even more expensive than the $322 we paid. The dinner buffet was lovely. The beach is huge and clean. The pool is outdated, mocktail was watered down. I would not recommend this hotel for the price tag but not sure what the other option around Saly would be. "

"Very well decorated and fully equipped house. The property manager reacts very promptly and is very courteous. The surroundings are very clean. The common swimming pool is quite big and a few steps from the house as well as the beach where there are long chairs and sunscreens for the occupants of the residence. There is a nice restaurant in the residence that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner services. Live band is sometimes present at night. Supermarkets and restaurants are close to the residence. The only negative point that could be mentioned (personal perception) is that the houses are close to each other."

"It was very relaxing place to be right above the beach with beach access. However the beach has a lot of debris from as that area is mostly used by fishermen. I stayed 8 nights with my 2 kids. Our room was spacious with a bounce bed and 2 twin beds. The beds we comfortable. The only complaint I would have is that when the weather is hot, it is hotter in the room because it is up stairs and there is no AC. Only half of our stay was hot enough to complain about. The staff was very friendly and kind. The owner was so gracious and will arrange anything you want from transportation to food delivery from outside. If you want a place to relax and do nothing but listen to the ocean waves while you sip a cold drink and your kids play in the pool, this is the place! I would definitely come back over and over again! "
