Beautiful garden-like grounds and pool, very large (3 pool areas, one of them adults only). Right on the water. Amazing views. Much bigger than many of the other hotels. The rooms are suites and quite large, good for families. The food is good, not great. It was just the two of us and we missed having a more quiet, fancier restaurant. The beach is nice but quite rocky so maybe not good for little kids, the pools are a better option and there are plenty of them. Emerald Bay is pretty far out of town so shuttle or taxi is necessary to get to other activities or restaurants. Finally, beware the "welcome" breakfast - it's a time share sales. After that, they leave you alone and it's a nice place!

This is a very low key resort…not a lot going on, but you can easily take the shuttle to the other resort and then have access to the city. Overall, It’s a nice, the food is good, pool is great and it has plenty of grounds to get in a good walk. One catch for me was that I have Celiac Disease, so I couldn’t eat most of the food or really any dessert. So, that was a bummer. My husband loved the food, my parents come here every year…but if you have a food allergy like me, you may want to look into a place that caters more to that. Still a great place and enjoyed my stay, but should have researched the food portion for myself beforehand.

This is not a 5 star property by any means. We booked two oceanfront rooms but were placed in rooms with very large bushes out front so we couldn’t see any ocean. The rooms were very outdated and showed years of wear and build up of dirt. Our room only had three bath towels and one bottle of shampoo the first day. No mini bar or coffee in our room the first night. The landscape around our room had years of weeds taking over the once beautiful grounds. They have either stopped caring or put us in an area for unwanted guests. We live part time in Mazatlan and refer friends and family here. This was the first time an all girls trip was taken here. I will never tell anyone to stay here anymore. The star rating should be put down to 3 or less.

The rooms weee not clean. The view and the property is beautiful but it really needs some remodeling. We had to switch to the other Pueblo bonito resort which was so much better.

We didn't like anything about this property. It was very old, dirty, and far from everything. The sister hotel ws remodeled and clean. The staff there were so friendly and wonderful. They let us to transfer to the other resort on our second day. This was so amazing. But two days of our trip we were miserable and dreading to go back to the rooms with mildew smells and dirty towels. I had to change three times the towels in the room. Towels by the pool were so gross and when I started to look if they were clean before I take them, the person in charge got upset. If you want to do extra activities, you have to get shuttle to go to sister hotel. I do not recommend this to anyone.
