"The property was very clean and well furnished, with comfortable beds. The bathroom is well appointed, and comes with lovely, fluffy soft white towels. We received a welcome kit with tea, coffee, and biscuits, and found scones, jam, and clotted cream in the refrigerator. The Stanley House met our needs and was as described (the only discrepancy we found was that there was no clothes dryer--I even read the manual for the washer online to see if it was a combo washer/dryer). "Plenty of space for 4 adults. The outside verandah was well used as it was so peaceful and quiet to sit out on. Three toilets to the property was a great advantage. The property is not overlooked. The journey to the property is along narrow lanes but with plenty of routes to choose from."

"We had an excellent stay here. Beautiful property with plenty of space for a group of 8 of us. Including children between the ages of 1 and 5 years old. We made use of the swimming facilities on site. Mary is a lovely host. Who answered all of our questions promptly . I would not hesistate to stay here again "

"This is a delightful property and our host was extremely helpful and friendly. We took our grandsons (aged 7 and 11) and were able to show them quite a lot of Devon. A big success was the heated swimming pool which they loved as well as the trampoline etc. Everything was great in the cottage and everything we needed. If fast broadband is a must you might struggle as with many rural areas it isn’t fast. However we highly recommend this property."
