"Great hotel in a great location. The hotel is in very good condition. service for breakfast was excellent. we did not have the same experience for dinner when the team both on the bar and in the restaurant were not aware of customers waiting. There needs to be stronger leadership on the evening service. Dinner was Ok for £145 for 3 having 3 courses, this feels steep for average food."

"The Bear is in a fantastic and convenient location for both Woodstock village and Blenheim Palace. All the Staff we encountered were excellent and helpful (as always! Especially the reception staff and Breakfast staff. We had an outside room in the area next to the car park which are larger and more modern than some of the rooms in the main hotel (on this stay the room was faultless room). The breakfast was excellent and a great example for tourists of the ‘Traditional English Breakfast!’ I still maintain that this hotel needs some money spending on it and some of the furniture and TVs in certain rooms definitely needs a refresh! "

"Lovely big twin room, comfy beds and Nespresso coffee machine. Short walk through the Montpellier district to get into the town centre. Great breakfast in the morning. Nicely decorated and furnished. "

"old building ,but very modern inside .food very good .lovely quiet garden to eat and have a drink. would recommend this property just need tend to a few cleaning issue bedroom dusty."
