"We were pleasantly surprised with Gulliver's Kingdom since we have never heard of it. For a really great price we had a lovely 2 nights in the princess-themed room with amazing views of Matlock Bath. There were activities in the evening for the kids. They absolutely loved it"

"We had booked for 10 people last minute (as we'd been let down by another holiday let) but couldn't have asked for a better house. Great location, really warm and welcoming with a good hot tub & games room. Would definitely recommend"

"The house was fantastic, well kept and clean. It was spacious for my family of 4. The location is quiet and within a walking distance from the main street. It is better to rent a car of course, and there is a private parking. The owner is very responsive and it was a wonderful stay."

"Newly decorated apartment. But very small, no room around bed. Hot water ran out every morning after 1 shower. Also there is NO parking permit."

Verified traveler

We visited Matlock to see the original family farm from and ancestral home of my immigrant ancestors. We hired a taxi with a driver who knew the area well to take us around the countryside. Would highly recommend Fox taxi service.

Hijinx

Matlock Bath is a summer resort town, with a lot of activities geared towards children. Its more sedate in the fall/winter. Bakewell which is nearby is much more bustling year round.
