"We loved our stat at the Electra Palace Hotel in Athens. It's centrally located in the Plaka, with so many dining options for lunch and dinner. It's also a 10-15 min. walk to the Acropolis (and has a beautiful view of the Acropolis from many rooms as well as their beautiful rooftop deck). The staff could not have been more helpful and the breakfast is delicious. Would definitely stay here again!"

"We enjoyed our stay at the Athens Tower. It had close proximity to the Monastiraki Square and Metro station if you plan on taking the train from with the airport or port. It was also an area with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. There is also a rooftop restaurant at the top of the hotel with great views of the Acropolis, especially at night when it’s lit up. You can also catch the sunset up there. Overall we loved the location of this place! The hotel itself appeared updated and comfortable. The room had everything we needed. Small fridge with water, comfortable bed, coffee station. My only advice is to avoid the 5th floor as it’s right under the restaurant and we were constantly woken up by noise from above till at least 1am. Our first night was on the 3rd floor and we had no problem. This hotel is located in a busy district so if car traffic noise bothers you, you might want to stay away from this area as it can be quite noisy into the night. But the walk ability of this area is also great! Breakfast was included with our stay and they had everything from eggs, sausage, ham to pancakes and pastries, fresh fruit and meat and cheese. Better than I was expecting! And also a great view of the Acropolis while you enjoy your breakfast. "

"If you arrive by the#3 blue line from the airport @40-45 minutes (9 Euro one way) or the green line from the port @17 minutes (1.2 euro one way), it takes 5 minutes or less from Metro to reach the hotel on foot. Come out of the Metro and look up and you have a big surprise. Turn left and the hotel is a short walk on the left side of the street. If you turn right out of the Metro you are a few steps to Monastiratki square. The room is a little dated and worn, but VERY clean and has everything you need. Nice Greek breakfast, felt safe and staff spoke English and were very professional. They went above and beyond for us during our stay. In this case the saying, " you get what you pay for" is not true. We definitely received much more. "
