The artwork throughout the hotel makes you feel like you are staying in a gallery, and the views from the terrace (day and night) are worth the stay."

"Residence Palomba - very kind staff welcoming us to their B&B. They took the time to orient us to the Matera area, served us a fantastic dinner and breakfasts. They gave us some very interesting history of the area, and helped us arrange transportation as we left town. Rooms modern and clean. A nice, quiet night's sleep!"

"The staff was fabulous; both helpful and kind. We were unaware that caves are humid, which was our naivete. Breakfast was ample. Our cave was large and had lots of places to sit comfortably, inside and out. The only reason the stay was not 100% excellent was the humidity inside the cave despite running dehumidifiers and air conditioning. Having a sweet dog on premises was a bonus!"
