"VRBO let us make a reservation when the house was already booked! We got there and the house was occupied! The house was far away from the town center (not minutes away like advertise), very difficult access. Very secluded and not clear directions of how to get there. We had to start looking for other hotel that day. Fortunately Mindo has very beautiful places to stay. Very scary experience nonetheless."

"We are visiting the cloud forest of Ecuador for three weeks, This is our first visit to Ecuador. We stayed at Cerro Campana for 6 nights, our second longest stay during our first trip to Ecuador. We wish we had stayed longer. Next time we will know better…The location is beautiful, The lodge is perched high on a hill with views all around. "Manuela is so friendly, accomodating & helpful! We enjoyed a few walks into Mindo center from the location & even from Mariposa Butterfly back. It feels safe, convenient & authentic. We enjoyed some lemongrass tea from the garden (on invitation to use the garden fruit & herbs) The Yumbosa Chocolate tour in town is a treat as well. Thank you!"
