"Really beautiful place. Beautifully furnished (not IKEA!), totally nice bathrooms. Location is absolute heart of Sarlat - but up on the second floor - so you could hear the (summer) crowds below, but be “above it all” - very fun while making dinner for ourselves :-))! No a/c, so needed windows open - and it can be noisy - but for us, part of being in Europe! Well equipped kitchen (tho add ice cube trays, salad bowl). And be aware they charge an add’l fee $85 for linens (tho good quality linens)....

"Very impressed with the apartment, we loved every minute there and wished we’d booked longer. The balcony was lovely to sit out on even with the road being directly below, we had all five of us sat there chatting on a few occasions. "This appartment is extremely well located near Sarlat and within the vicinity of many interesting places. Friendly, discrete hosts that were at our service when needed: we missed a hairdryer (which was mentioned in the house description) and they immediately solved that. Appartment was very cool which was welcome with day temperatures of +35°C. Only downside: the appartment is very damp (known to the hosts) and the mechanical ventilation does not entirely solve this."

"Enjoyed the rural setting and the evening quiet. Once we found it, the place was easy to access and find our way around the area. Overall, decent lodging at a good price. Although small, the studio was decently outfitted with some exceptions... No dish cloth or dish towels. Less than half a roll of toilet paper. No garbage collection during our 5 night stay. Shower head needed some tightening, flopped all over the place."

"The location - right across from the Office de Tourisme - is excellent for discovering the mediaeval city and a five-minute walk to Place Pasteur if you need to meet local guides for day trips in the area. Cafés, restaurants and a small grocery store are a stone’s throw away. "Overall experience of the property: - Owners friendly, with a bottle of wine in the fridge on arrival - Fantastic pool and a lovely garden - Superb location to visit all of the key areas / sights within the Dordogne Few points to note: - The stairs in the property are very steep, therefore, not suitable for young children or the elderly - The wifi didn't work very well and was intermittent - not a deal breaker but useful to have - Very hot upstairs as no fans or a/c - again not a deal breaker...
