Pros: Scenic views, walk-in water access (great for kids/dogs), water toys (2 kayaks, 2 SUPs, 1 canoe), lovely dock to lounge on (plenty of seating with hammocks, outdoor table, polywood chairs), firepit great for s'mores, foosball table in the basement (a hit with the kids), stocked kitchen with items you need (crock pot and the basics), beautiful vaulted ceilings in living room, enjoyable...

"The property is not maintained outside. Safety concerns for sure. Huge hole leading into dock. Sock needs to be power washed due to buildup it’s very slippery. Bricks, stones, 2x4s randomly placed trip hazards everywhere. Lawned not mowed. Trash wasn’t picked up from previous renters . Inside ok for a DIY, table unstable, plywood bench, bed support broken. There more but that says a lot"

"The property was very clean and well stocked. If you’re looking for privacy this is a good place to stay. The kids could play in the yard without worrying about traffic. I appreciated the firewood being on hand because I can never seem to find firewood when we go on vacation. We would definitely consider staying here if we visit Hanging Rock again. "

"The house was perfect! I had an extended stay ( 15 days) while my son was at HPU - my husband stayed for 2 nights then I was solo until my mom and sister arrived for a week then solo until check out. The location of the house is not in the most desirable neighborhood but I felt safe and once inside you forget because the house is so comfortable and welcoming, it also has a great alarm system that I appreciated. "Property owner was responsive to questions. Property was even better than pictures show. Be aware though of steep walk to the lake (which was known to us). Elderly and young children probably won't make it. But we got used to it and offers a nice, short exercise. Plenty of stocked firewood for a campfire and s'mores. Great stay!"
