Great location and staff.
The hotel is in a perfect location. Staff are helpful and friendly.
Complaints:
1) Stains on the bedspread - completely unacceptable
2) No hook to hang the shower head onto
3) Hairdryer didn't work
4) Cleaning materials(?) left in the room
The hotel is very conveniently situated within walking distance of the main station and town centre. With the windows closed and air conditioning on, noise from the busy street is minimal. Very comfortable bed, room has been partially renovated. The bathroom still needs redoing as the basin and bidet are cracked and the shower rather outdated. Couldn't get a proper picture on the TV and the customer PC in the lobby was out of order. The breakfast was good and the hotel staff friendly and efficient (bar fixing the TV and the computer!).
The hotel is close the TGV station and this was important as we were trying to only use public transit and
"foot power". The hotel is clean and comfortable and there was a closet to hang up a few things. The hotel staff were polite and helpful.
The hotel was smart, clean and relaxing and easy to reach from the railway station.Unfortunately
the surrounding area is rather rundown and smelly. Some people might find it intimidating
after dark.Spent three nights at the hotel and managed to visit Notre Dame de la Garde and a
boat trip to Chateau d'If during that time as well as one of the nearby beaches..

Decent hotel, but sketchy neighbourhood
Nice people, we were upgraded to better room without asking. The neighbourhood is not great - lots of homeless people and rundown shops and restaurants.
A minimalist hotel, great for 1 night when requiring to be near the main railway station. Room was small but quiet and what I wanted and expected. Would not recommend for longer stays.
it is convinient location. I had a single room with a small balcony, breakfast is a bit expensive but nice selection of everything. from the main entrance turning left down street is a bit scary, lots of homeless people but turning to the right just few steps you are on the main avenue going down to harbour with night life. I would not say it is a dangerous area.

i have never stayed in a 2 star hotel before and was expecting a shelter no more no less. Lutetia was a nice surprise. the service was good, staff was helpfull, the hotel is well maintained... not too impressed with the room though. the room was small and a bit claustrophobic but we literally needed it to spend a night. the surrounding area wasn't very pleasant but i am afraid so was the rest of the Marceille.
It is a nice easy walk from Train station/Tram/Metro. For some reason expedia had managed to book me two rooms! The night manager did try and resolve this very quick in Fantastic English.
The lift is only big enough to get a slim cat in and we had to walk up to the Th floor.
Room was very small. The plus side was the Windows open up very wide(so don't take very small children)
The toilet flush didn't work and the bathroom was very very tatty. Lots of mould and old brown stuff yuk. I wouldn't stay here again.
Marseille is very nice though. Even better because Arsenal won.
Just 2 blocks from Train Station downhill. Nice hotel, clean and nicely decorated inside and good petit de jouner. Nice staff, helpful. Good location for the Vieux Pont. Just around the corner from the main street with all the shopping, The only downside was the people hanging around all day outside on the street. Alot of guys, might be out of work or retired - but I only saw them playing dominoes, talking and smoking. Never bothered us at all.
