Beautiful place, wonderful deck with beautiful view, so serene. Would prefer 4 th bedroom to be in main house, but just a wonderful place to stay. Kids had room to ride bikes in drive even. Thank you.

Great summer getaway for extended family
Great property for an end of summer getaway. We used the main house and guest house for our extended family of ten people. One family slept in the guest house while my family and parents stayed in the main house. There was plenty of room and we loved the large porches. We traveled to Asheville a few days and our favorite activity nearby was sliding rock. Check in was easy and everything was clean and ready for our stay. The property was easy to find and the nearby towns were close enough to be convenient but you are definitely secluded which we loved. Beds were comfy and the property was gorgeous. It really is a large property and you can see all kinds of wild animals. We saw the resident geese and deer and even had an unexpected visit from a slithering friend who surprised my mom after s’mores on the fire pit one evening. The kids loved all the wildlife but we did have to check for ticks nightly!! The kitchen had all the needed gadgets except for a potato masher but what are the odds your family is going to want homemade mashed potatoes like mine did? The refrigerator was very clean which is a huge plus in my opinion. I would definitely book again if we go back to the area.

Asheville Get Away
We had 4 couples so we wanted a place that had 4 bedrooms and 4 separate bathrooms. Initial impression was fantastic. We all moved into our rooms and then realized the water was not working at all. We had 4 smart men with us and they tried the breakers and the pressure switch to no avail. I contacted Jen the property manager and she told me they probably wouldn't be able to anything that evening as Lucas was at a Memorial service. We filled all available buckets and pails we could find with water from the pond so we could use the toilets overnight. A plumber showed up first thing next morning and told us it was a faulty well pump. After it was fixed everything was great. We used kitchen and or grill all 3 nights to cook. We sat on the porch and played games at the big table. My husband and I had the bedroom upstairs and were disappointed it didn't have it's own bathroom up there (we had to use the main bathroom near the kitchen). We used the Sonos audio and the wifi. Home could have less knickknacks as we were afraid a few times that we were going to accidentally knock something over. Also one plug of the outlets in bedroom upstairs are switched and we didn't realize that and our cellphones didn't charge 2 of the nights. Cottage was cute and was nice to have motion lights while walking back later at night. All 4 couples said we would rent property again.

Very nice but not for us
We really enjoyed our visit. Beautiful area and setting but… I wish I had known that there is just one bed on each level. The main house has the king bed with bath on the ground floor. (Mold in tub area) The main level has a queen bed with bath. The third level has a king bed but no bath! It’s downstairs! Nobody stayed there. With young kids wanting to be close to their parents, it could not be done. The guest house says queen bed, but it’s a full. Also it’s not that close to Biltmore. You need at least 45 minutes to get there and if you have a scheduled visit, you need an hour! Also, to get to the Mars Hill town it’s 15 minutes each way. The house is very secluded and lots of back roads which is part of its charm. There was no place for the family of 5 adults and 3 children to gather comfortably. Not enough seating and downstairs was cold and we never got the fireplace started. I had asked the manager about paper products, soaps etc and I was told only start ups were provided. I brought all these products but the house had more than enough of everything! I didn’t need to drag all those rolls of toilet paper, paper towels, soaps, shampoos, etc. I just wish the descriptions were more accurate and captions under the pictures.

Pictures do not do the scenery justice - it's breathtaking!
We stayed at the property in July so everything was lush and green. Absolutely beautiful! If I could attach a few photos, I would. The pond is so peaceful. The views are picturesque. The kids enjoyed kayaking. The pictures of the inside are an accurate representation except for the bedroom with the 2 twin beds. That room had a king size bed instead which didn't matter to us. We would definitely recommend this property - both the main house and the guest house. Just a note - the bedroom in the guest house is upstairs and they are steep so that might influence someone's decision as to who will sleep there (originally we thought my parents would sleep there, but they can't navigate stairs well so we rearranged). You will not be disappointed if you choose this home!

Truly enjoyed our stay
Great location and easy to find. Having a main house and a guest house was a great bonus for us as we came with our kids and grandchildren. I would highly recommend that if there is snow, you only come with a 4 wheel drive vehicle as the driveway is steep at the entrance. Other then that this property is amazing. Lots of memories to be made. I highly recommend

We could not have asked for a better location. We used the main house and the guest house. The kids fished and walked around the like. The kitchen was a bit quirky but fit our needs perfectly. A wonderful memory was made!
