Quiet and classy
This hotel offers you quite and relaxing stay, with a nice patio and roof garden. The host is very amiable. Since this hotel locates on a small byroad (as "secret garden" should be so ;) next to a hammam, it is recommended for a first time visitor to call the hotel in advance, or use a taxi to reach.

Online pictures of accommodations did not match the actual hotel. The atmosphere is dark, dusty and dreary. There is no pool onsite it is 5K away at another hotel hat you need to take and pay for a taxi to go to. Posted Airport shuttle info is inaccurate. they charge more depending on the day of the week or time of day. Internet was always down.

It was a big scam!! We arrived to look at our room and the hotel was like a ghost town. It was dark, dreary and covered with dust. There is NO pool, a/c, or internet as it states on their description. When we arrived and noticed that it was not as advertised we declined to stay and the hotel manager threatened us and made us pay anyway because she said there was no cancellation. I attempted to tell her that it is false advertisement and it was not what we expected but she started yelling at us. I had to pay just to get away from her. Now I am stuck with a delima

Felt like royalty
This riad is wonderful in nearly everyway. It is reasonably priced and within walking distance to Djemaa el Fna and in a good area for restaurants and shopping. Youssef is the host and he is kind and attentive without being overbearing. The first 2 nights we were the only guests in the riad so we were told we were upgraded to a better room. It was truly amazing with a king sized bed in one room and a second attached room for our 2 children. We had to move for the second 2 nights. The second space was a huge step down. We still had 2 separate rooms but had to enter a hallway that was only semi private to get to the bathroom and kids room. The second bathroom was uncomfortably small with a shower that was really too small for an adult. Breakfast was included and was fabulous. There is a lovely rooftop terrace, no view but very private. I did yoga up there every morning which was really pleasant. One downside of the location and I am not sure if this is a problem everywhere in the medina: Every morning at 4:30 and again at 5:30 am there is a call to prayer that is very very loud and goes on for several minutes. Despite this I would definitely stay there again if we return to Marrakech.

Mauvaise gestion de ma réservation
Nous avions réservé une suite pour 2 adultes et deux enfants pour la période du 19.04 au 22.04.2014. En arrivant dans "Riad Jardin Secret", une personne responsable nous explique qu'ils avaient reçu DEUX réservations pour la même chambre et, pour 2 jours (du 19 au 21.04.2014). Notre réservation était parvenu via hotels.com et l'autre via un autre site de réservation. Parce que nous arrivions plus tard que la personne qu détenait l'autre réservation. On nous proposait d'autres chambres, dans un autre hôtel, non loin du "Riad Jardin Secret". On nous proposait de passer 2 nuits dans l'autre hôtel et une nuit dans Riad Jardin Secret ce que nous refusions. Nous sommes étonnés de cette manière de procéder. L'autre hôtel était correct, propre avec un personnel très agréable, mais sans jardin au centre. Nous avions envie de refuser complètement, mais, vue la fatigue du voyage, nous avons renoncé de rechercher un autre hôtel. Nous avons payé exactement la même somme pour l'hôtel proposé, ce qui nous semblait un peu étrange, vue qu'il était quand-même un peu plus modeste.

Estuvimos los 5 primeros dias de enero y destacamos la calidad y amabilidad del servicio. El estado del Riad muy correcto, las habitaciones no cuentan con calefacción cosa que se agradecería en las frías noches del invierno, aunque nos proporcionaron un calefactor que ayudó bastante. La ubicación del Riad perfecto para los que busquen tranquilidad a la hora de dormir estando a su vez bastante cerca de los zocos y otros sitios de interés (Museo, Medersa Ben Youseff, Mercado artesanal, La Plaza, La Koutoubia).

avec toutes les photos que l'on a pris de ce riad , nous avons qu'une envie , c'est d'y retourner ; l'acceuil toujours souriant et très disponible , le calme , la propreté ,la déco , les petits-déj. avec les galettes de semoule faites le matin même , très bien situé ds la médina ; nous avons déjà recommandé cette adresse à nos amis et à la famille .Merci à la gérante de ce riad et à Youssef , toujours souriants et près à nous documenter ; bravo !

Prettig hotel in medina zeer dicht bij souks
Heel prettig hotel in de medina van Marrakesh. Heel vriendelijke ontvangst, zeer behulpzaam. Mooie grote kamers rondom een binnenplaats. Goede douche: heet water en goede straal (dat wil nog wel eens anders zijn in Marokko). Zonnig dakterras (jammer genoeg geen uitzicht over Marrakesh). Op 5 minuten loopafstand van souks. Naar Djemaa El-Fna Plein ook maar 10 of 15 minuten lopen.
