Pristine Peaceful 2/2 Cabin with Hot Tub HSI L2EV

This peaceful and cozy retreat nestled in the woods of beautiful Alpine County offers the quintessential cabin experience with the added benefit of stunning mountain views and incredible luxuries! Sip your morning coffee on the vast deck before setting out for an invigorating day of hiking, fishing, or skiing. Then fire up the grill for a backyard barbecue and relax in the hot tub under the stars. We can’t wait to welcome you for your next family or group getaway!

The peaceful cabin is cozy, spacious, and inviting, with year-round appeal and a range of outdoor activities on the surrounding trails, rivers, lakes, and mountains. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by the calming sounds of the creek and fresh breeze. Step through the entryway and discover the beautiful open floor plan, so you can enjoy being together even in separate rooms. Two large bedrooms with four beds comfortably sleep six. Gather around the dining table for a meal, or set up board games and puzzles by the warmth of the wood stove. Enjoy indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, from the deck to the private patio to the living room, with ample couch space for the whole family to settle in. You’re sure to feel instantly at home.

Guests will enjoy access to the entire private home, including the deck, patio, garage, and plenty of driveway parking space. We’re also proud to offer high-speed internet via Starlink, a rare luxury for this area, and a Level 2 EV charger in the garage.

We have a manager nearby but will not be available during your stay. Enjoy.

Peacefully nestled in the woods of beautiful Alpine County, enjoy being away from it all while also just minutes from some of California’s most beautiful remote trails, lakes, rivers, and mountains. The cabin is the perfect home base for year-round access to fishing, hiking, skiing, biking, boating, and snow activities. We’re just a five-minute drive from historic downtown Markleeville, where you can visit our favorite brewery, try out the local restaurants, or go fly fishing on the East Carson River. We’re two miles from Grover Hot Springs State Park and fifteen minutes from Hope Valley. In the winter, set out for cross-country skiing, show-shoeing, or snowmobiling, or hit the slopes at Kirkwood and Heavenly, all within 30 minutes of the cabin. Just a few minutes further down the road, visit Gardnerville, NV, and South Lake Tahoe, both about 40 minutes away, to take in more of the best restaurants, casinos, shopping, attractions, and fun our area offers.

If you need an additional sleeping space, there is an inflatable air mattress in the master bedroom closet. If you need more wood for the wood-burning stove, you’ll find half a cord in the garage.

Very well set up cabin in a peaceful place
The cabin had everything - the owners clearly stay here from time to time and hence it has everything a home needs. Very cleaned super comfortable beds. Markleeville also surprised us with a great restaurant, pub and other facilities.

Remote and Just Right
Feeling outdoors-y? If you've been to South Lake and ready for a more remote Tahoe experience, this is a cozy place that's not too remote. Markleeville has creature comforts, so don't worry if you forget some staple items. Grover Hot Springs is worth a visit and a hike to the waterfalls. The hot springs are fabulous, but reserve 2 days in advance online. Kirkwood is the best ski resort of the bunch, and it's just 35 minutes away. The house is great and has simple appliances that are easy to figure out. We enjoyed our stay and felt very comfortable.

GREAT find! Secluded yet close to town
Very nice and modern inside yet rustic outside. Surrounded by woods, quiet and peaceful. A mile to town and even shorter to the Hot Springs with beautiful, easy hike to some water falls. SO many things to see and do in the surrounding area's! We LOVED our stay here and the owners are extremely friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Very considerate host, instant reply
What else do you expect from a host? Instant reply. The instruction book gives very clear notice and more important, concise! Extra sets of liners are labeled nicely. I think he is one of the top 3 hosts whose cabins I have been stayed! A few things needs to improve : there were lots of snow on deck, stairs and driveway. Not safe to use front door. And there is no extra set of keys. One night the power lost and garage door cannot been opened. But the host answered the phone immediately and luckily the power was back soon. Overall we had a good time. Will stay here again if possible.

Fishing trip getaway
The owner is very easy to communicate with and overall we had a good experience. Be aware that it is a steep driveway and during the winter only one of the two spaces in the drive is plowed.

Our stay was nice. We were only there in the evenings as the fishing was our priority.
Everything was clean and comfortable for us. The stairs were somewhat of an issue but they always are for old guys like me.
