The Most Magical Mystery House awaits as you explore the beautiful Yosemite Valley. A massive 3600+ square foot, four bedroom estate, with custom designed, solar heated pool, hot tub , and the most insane views around. Conveniently located less than 5 minutes from the charming gateway of Mariposa and 35 minutes from the main entrance of Yosemite National Park. This place will no doubt leave you breathless

There is also a massive deck to entertain, barbecue, or even practice your favorite Yoga poses - mats included :)

Dogs are welcome with prior approval, however please note that our family has several Outdoor cats who live on the property grounds (but not inside). We are happy to provide pet friendly accommodations and allow house-trained dogs. Please be mindful when leaving your dog alone in the house for an extended period of time to avoid accidents. Please clean up all dog waste in the yard. We do not supply poop bags, so please have your own supply. We charge a small one time fee of $50 ($20 for each additional, max 2) to accommodate additional cleaning necessary, and reserve the right to charge for any damage caused your pets.

Truly Magical!!!
The Magical Mystery House is amazing!! This was our first Vrbo experience and Steve and his team knocked it out of the park! Our family chose this home due to the lovely pictures, my kids were drawn to the pool. The home was everything we wanted. The game room, pool and hot tub were big highlights for everyone. The property is super private! Our family enjoyed watching the deer and wild turkeys! We knew we’d have so many fun things to do at the house so we decided to do Yosemite before checking in and after we checked out. The yard is the most magical part of the home. It has so many fun seating area’s to enjoy all with amazing views! We stayed in early October which is still high fire season so we couldn’t use the fire pit, but that’s okay, we ended up sitting around the fire pit to dry off after the pool. Our main contact was Steve, he was always so prompt getting back to us and is very kind. I reached out to him during our stay asking if there was a broom and dust pan on site and his amazing cleaning crew popped by with a mop and bucket! I explained how I would like to sweep up the crumbs we made on the kitchen floor so we don’t drag them to the carpeted area’s. The amazing crew popped by an hour later with a brand new broom and dust pan! Wow!! What amazing service!! This home provided the relaxation and fun we were looking for!! We would totally stay here again!! It is worth every penny!!

Magical stay - beautiful and relaxing.
Absolutely loved this place! It’s Huge, and the views are STUNNING. I can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed ourselves and our stay. 10 out of 10! Close to Yosemite! Please also check out the Mariposa SPCA which is very close, a stones throw away, and make a donation if you are an animal lover!

Relaxing Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the Magical Mystery House! I selected this home based on the location and views and it didn’t disappoint. This was a wonderful place to unwind, with plenty of space and a beautiful outdoor area. This was one of three homes my family stayed in during our vacation and we all agreed that this was our favorite place by far.

What a great property with some of the nicest views we have ever witnessed. As mentioned in prior reviews, the house is massive with plenty of room for our entire group. The home was made for entertaining with a large , well stocked kitchen, and redwood deck overlooking a valley of pine trees. There is even a shaded arbor with comfortable seating and wine grapes growing all around. It felt like we were vacationing in the heart of France. The bedrooms were large and we found all the beds and bedding to be comfortable. Was a short trip to Yosemite along the beautiful Merced River.

Beautiful property, amazing views- loved the pool
We actually decided to skip Yosemite because the kids didn't want to leave the house. Not sure there is one word to describe it but it had everything to offer our family and friends. There were even thinking trails on the backside of the property. Of course, the pool was a real hit.

Our family had an amazing at this lovely property. The house itself is palatial with plenty of room for any sized group. The outside has some of the epic views I've seen in quite a while. The pool was great especially since it was so warm when we were up. It took us about 30 minutes to reach yosemite and the drive along the Merced river is a sight on its own. Great, great Place!

come for the pool and the view. expect ants in the kitchen
we came for the pool and the view. we weren't disappointed. both were amazing. the hot tub was also superb. having a place outdoors on the patio was great. used he grill several times. tried to eat outdoors, but was unable to b/c all the yellow jackets immediately descended on us, so we ate indoors after that. no big deal. all the rooms are set up nice. water pressure isn't great, but it was a minor issue. close enough to yosemite. we went a couple of days after 4pm, b/c we didn't get a rez, and it was great! saw tunnel view, etc. property has 4 cats that we were told to keep outdoors. i have cat allergies, but was fine indoors and outdoors. one thing to note is that there are a good amount of ants in the kitchen area. didn't notice them anywhere else. i think it's the mountainanous region, and so they all probably have them. it didn't bother us. we just coexisted with them. we tried to be as clean as possible, put food in the fridge, etc. but they like to be on the kitchen counter. again, it didn't bother us. house is a little dated, but again, didn't bother us. they have bidets in the toilets. overall, a great stay. come for the pool and the view. you won't be disappointed.

Definitely one of the coolest and most unique homes I've ever stayed in. The house itself has a wide open layout with what seems like a 200 foot hallway stretching from end to end. The owner has decorated the outside are with metal and stone pieces which really add a unique air. Besides the amazing cliffside pool, our favorite was the shaded arbor which had its own varietal of white grape growing,. There are even Pomegranate trees ripe for the picking,

Gorgeous Home, Incredible Views
Wow! What an incredible home, but inside and out. The house itself is stylishly decorated and is huge - we got our exercise from just walking from one end to the other. The kitchen is well stocked and super clean. There were 4 large bedrooms to house our group and the kids love the bunk beds. Each room seemed to have a particular theme as well that we all loved. As nice as the inside is, the outside can't be beat with amazing views and a lovely pool that sits almost like an infinity pool. We can't wait to return.

Amazing Vacation Property
This is an awesome property, as described. We had a total of six people and there was more than enough space for everyone without being on top of each other. The pool was fantastic and multiple outdoor seating areas with beautiful views. The indoor space was great too, with good AC, comfy beds and sofa and great views from inside too. The kitchen IS well stocked with many small appliances, pots, pans, baking dishes, utensils, paper goods, etc. We used the nice gas grill outdoors as well cooking a little inside and were able to find what we needed. Plenty of space in the fridge and pantry to store our food. There were lots of towels, both for a shower and the pool. The Pony Espresso is a great coffee shop and the Pioneer Market is great and reasonably priced to buy food. Communications with the owner was good and they quickly responded to questions we had. Thanks for an amazing stay!

Mariposa Haunted Mystery House
I am posting this review as a warning to potential renters of this property. The listing is completely inaccurate and the pictures of the house interior are very deceiving. I will say that the exterior and outdoor space are phenomenal. The pool and surroundings are beautiful. The downside for us was the fact that there were 4 or 5 cats that live at the house and the owner leaves them there even when guests are scheduled. The cats don't enter the house unless you let them in but they will surround you anytime you're outside and try to jump in your lap if you're sitting down. This made it very difficult for us to relax when sitting outside. The interior of the house is very dated and well worn. The kitchen was filthy upon arrival and every surface had to be wiped down before we could use it. All of the utensils, pots, pans, and appliances are old and greasy. Everything needed to be washed before we could cook the first night. We decided to eat out the rest of our meals because we couldn't stand cooking or eating in the kitchen. There are also bugs everywhere in the kitchen. I understand that one or two might get in the house from time to time but the ant and fly problem was out of control from the moment we walked into the house. Everything else in the house is very dated and dingy. We have stayed at many VRBO properties over the years and this was by far the worst one we've encountered. This place may be perfect for you if you love cats and staying outside the entire time you're there. Otherwise I'd recommend finding somewhere else.

Best place I’ve ever stayed in
Place is very secluded, has an amazing view, and isn’t too far from Yosemite. My group wants to come back to this place one day. We stayed for two nights and wish we could of stayed longer. We will definitely be returning if booking is available. Steve, the owner, was very responsive and professional.
