Yosemite travels
Very comfortable with more than enough room for 3 couples. The kitchen was very well stocked. Only drawback was the distance from Mariposa but that was minor. Owners were very accommodating and responded to an inquiry almost immediate. We would book this property again if we are in the area.

Inaccurate listing and dirty
When we arrived at the house, we found the house damp and several lights either burned out or with no bulbs. Surfaces had dirt and grime on them and were sticky, the blinds were filthy, and there were bugs in the lamp in the living room that when we plugged it in was shorting. There were bugs everywhere in the house. The couch was like sitting on a board. The primary and one of the other bedrooms had mattress that were hard as a rock with pillows that deflated like pancakes. There was zero phone service which wasn’t listed on the listing and the WiFi was out. The house manager did come to fix that issue. We were hot in the house that said it had an air conditioner according to the listing. When the property manager was there to address the Wi-Fi issue, she asked if we knew about the swamp cooler. She said they had a swamp cooler, which meant the air was damp, musty, and uncomfortable and we all had to sleep with our doors and windows open to not sweat while sleeping. When we went to take a shower, we found that no other water could be used in the house to get more than a trickle. You should be able to shower and wash clothes or dishes or flush a toilet at the same time. We did appreciate the coffee from the local coffee spot and did search for the same while our shopping in Mariposa. We tried to make light of this once in a lifetime family vacation, calling that swamp cooler a swamp monster. We would not recommend the SwampMonster House.

Wonderful Stay
We stayed a week in the house and really enjoyed it! Despite being in a bit of a neighborhood, it really felt very secluded. There were trees all around, and plenty of birds! On our last day, we went for a walk up the street and saw Stellar's Jays, Dark-eyed Juncos, Yellow-rumped Warblers, Acorn Woodpeckers, Bullock's Orioles, Black-headed Groesbeaks, a Wild Turkey, and a Nashville Warbler! It was fantastic and I really enjoyed my stay!

Fantastic stay in an exceptional home
We absolutely loved this place. Great accommodations, nicely appointed and comfortable a the location was a bit of a drive from Yosemite for my family’s preferences but we were able to also take a great walk on day 1 there and see the location. We booked later and in Winter/ Spring there are limited options and the park was booked up. Not a big deal to me. Mariposa has food offerings and is close by as well. It was also near to see the Oak Fire recovery in process just down the road. Though obviously devastating, it is incredible to see the fast recovery and regrowth in the area. Glad this place survived!! Bottom line: we’d definitely stay again if in the area and highly recommend this high-quality location as a cozy landing pad for Yosemite or a stay in the wilderness off the beaten path (but not isolated).

An absolutely amazing experience we had a great Thanksgiving dinner, the kitchen is very nice equipped with utensils and plenty of room, so is the rest of the house. This amazing backyard house is literally on the forest. Located close to the stunning Yosemite.
