This house was exactly as advertised and pictured. It is a lovely property with a fabulous view of the mountains. It is up a very steep hill, so be prepared for a fun drive. There is enough parking for three cars.
One thing to be prepared for is ladybugs. In the winter in NC, they like to come inside the house. This didn't bother us, as we are used to it, but I could see where it might bother others. You have to sweep up the dead ones every day.
We had a slight problem with getting the correct gate code to enter the neighborhood, but we finally got the right one. The host was very fast to respond with a new code each time the one we had didn't work. If you use Verizon for cell service, there is little to no service going up the mountain, at the front gate, and in the house. So, if you get to the gate and the code doesn't work, you have to go to an area where you can get cell service to call the host for another code.
The playground is in need of repair and the game room is inoperable, so if you book the house expecting those features for your children, be prepared to find something different to do. There are ample activities in the area - gem mine, fun little towns to eat and shop in, the Cherry Mountain Farm with animals and hayrides, etc.
