This letter provides you with house details to make your stay in Villa Mia more comfortable.
Your arrival at Villa Mia is expected between 15:00h and 22:00h. Please inform our House Manager, Miren Savic, of your expected time of arrival. His cell number is +385 98 9696 206, please give him a call or text message 1-2 hours before your arrival so that he can arrange to meet and escort you to Villa Mia or alternatively wait for your arrival at the villa at an agreed time. He will then hand over the keys and introduce you to the villa. On your day of departure, you are expected to vacate the property by 10.00 am.
As per the rental agreement, a security deposit of €400 is required to be paid to Miren at the time of key collection unless insurance has been taken. This deposit acts as security for the holiday home against damages and will be returned if the villa is left in a clean, undamaged and presentable condition.
Miren has been instructed to give our guests maximum privacy. He will be present upon arrival and departure and will also maintain the garden & pool weekly. Please call Miren in the case of any urgent malfunction of the house equipment. If repair/malfunction is not urgent, please inform Miren on your departure.
Information about Villa Mia and the surrounding area can be requested from Miren either on your arrival or by contacting him on his mobile. There is a folder in the house from the local tourist board will give you an idea of the attractions and activities in the region. We have also added some cards from restaurants that we actually use ourselves and can recommend.
Instruction manuals for appliances, emergency numbers and other information are to be found in your holiday home (shelf above the fridge/freezer). he pool will be cleaned each week; in very warm weather it may need cleaning twice a week, Miren will advise which day the cleaning will take place.
Bedlinen, bathroom and kitchen textiles are plentiful. Bedlinen and towels are changed weekly. Hair dryers are available in each bedroom. The kitchen has a filter coffee maker using ground coffee and a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. There is a Bluetooth speaker unit that is compatible with most wireless devices.
A cleaning kit with cloth, dish brush, a few dishwasher tablets and garbage bags will be left for you in the kitchen. A fire blanket can be found under the sink unit. Please do not place hot pots and pans on the kitchen countertop as this may damage the surface (pan stands are provided). Please do not clean appliances and equipment with abrasive cleaners.
The soap dispensers in the villa will be filled with soap. All inside and outside lamps were checked before the start of the season. The lamps at the front door and some of the lamps in the garden are set on the auto switch for evening hours. Please note that Villa Mia is a non-smoking holiday home. Depending on weather conditions, the soundless irrigation system comes on at night. Please remove any water sensitive items from the lawn.
Please remove cushions from the sunbeds if it rains as it may take a few days for them to dry if soaked in rain water, so will be unusable for this period.
We recommend turning off lights in the bedrooms in the evening and/or close windows and doors, so that mosquitoes have no chance to fly in. The anti-mosquito spray and tablets are left in the bedrooms for you. We would highly appreciate that you use soft cloths to kill mosquitoes on the walls. Please always close windows and doors when you operate the air conditioner and turn it off when you leave the room.
Garbage is collected regularly. The container stands about 500 metres on the road back towards the centre of the village.
The initial and final cleaning is included in the price. However, we do ask that you please do the dishes, empty the refrigerator and tidy up in and around the villa before departure as the cleaners are on a very tight schedule to prepare for the next guests. Please treat the villa in a responsible manner and return it in the same condition as it was received. The villa Manager makes a house inspection before your departure, and will return the security deposit on receipt of the keys if no damage is noted.
WARNING
Please note that the sewage system is by means of a septic tank. Please DO NOT put anything other than toilet paper into the system. No plastics, nappies, sanitary products, wet wipes or cotton buds should be put into the toilet.
Hopefully we did not go into too much detail. The most important thing is that you will have a fantastic, enjoyable and carefree holiday. Istria has a lot to offer; good food, wine and very friendly people. We hope that the weather is kind to you during your stay and that our home provides you with a good base to explore the surroundings.
Best Regards from your landlords.

P.S. Please let us know if there was anything missing from the house that would have made your stay more complete. A review to the rental agency would be highly appreciated.
Why Villa Mia?
We have two daughters who both thought that the villa should be named after either one of them, so to save any arguments we named it after our German Shepard “Mia”

From D66 at Prodol follows signs to Krnica and Bratulici, the road is directly opposite the Luna restaurant. Keep on the road all the way into the village of Krnica, you will pass a lavender field on your right and shortly after a football pitch on the left, you then enter the village centre. Continue straight and you come to a cross road, go straight over and pass the church and school heading for the Porat (Harbour). Continue for another 500 meters and you will see the house on the right-hand side. (There are three new houses standing together, if you pass them you have gone too far).
