Our four night stay aboard Sweet Chariot was wonderful. It all starts with the owners, Anne Marie and Captain Jim. They obviously love their boat and take great care of her. She's beautiful and all systems are in great working order. They are fantastic hosts that insured my wife and I were comfortable during our stay. They were very easy to communicate with.
The boat is exactly as the pictures show, so there is no need to elaborate. The pics look great because the boat is fantastic. I loved the layout of the boat. It was very efficient and comfortable. And the fact that it has two bathrooms w/showers was a bonus I didn't expect.
The location could not have been better. The marina it was located in was not a huge, bustling marina with docks, boats and people spanning out in every direction. It was actually a small "cove" off the side of the main channel into all the marinas. So there only were about a dozen boats docked at the location. It was beautiful, quiet and well protected from waves or boat traffic. Manatees didn't just come visit on occasion, they actually appeared to live there and were always bobbing around the water.
Getting to the boat was as easy as could be. The Marina entrance is one block off of state highway 1 in the center of the city of Marathon. You park your car in the parking lot, take about 30 steps and you are stepping onto the boat.
We loved our stay and will certainly want to stay onboard in the future!
We also recommend taking advantage of chartering Sweet Chariot during your stay. We chartered for a full day and it was a perfect sail.
