"We would definitely recommend Lion Sand’s River Lodge! We came here for our honeymoon and this was the most special holiday of our lives. We stayed in the River Suite, which was beautiful, as was the rest of the hotel. The service was fantastic - every member of staff (whether that be in the restaurant, behind the bar, cleaning staff, reception, etc) were incredibly kind, chatty and attentive. The food during our stay was excellent. The highlight of this trip was certainly the game drives. We had Jason (field guide) and Abraham (tracker) and both guys were incredibly knowledgeable, skilled and just very nice people - we really hope that our paths cross again some day! "I would qualify everything about this place with exceptional. I wanted to thank each staff and copied down the names of our night and morning receptionists and gardener/manager, but lost the paper all with my car registration. Go figure. But the place is first rate with budget cost. The TV had hundreds of channels. The king size bed is comfortable. Wifi is strong. Beautiful room decor and spacious. No details overlooked. We came out of 5 days of stalking animals/birds in Kruger. It's perfect rest. The gardener (I am sure he had other jobs) washed our dusty car. Free breakfast make to order. We didn't have time to enjoy the wonderful breakfast, etc. because we were in a rush to get on the road. But you will. "
