Even though the baboons are noisy running on the roofs in the morning, it is fun to see them and the other monkeys playing all around the resort. "The key reason of staying here is the safari drives and seeing the animals. And this did not disappoint!!! Our guide Vestment was absolutely incredible! He was so friendly, knowledgeable, and got us up close and personal with so many animals. We had the best pictures and videos of all the animals we wanted (except for the elusive cheetah). The luxury tents were nice, but we were there during a very hot period so spent much mid-day time in the pool. The food was really good with nice options...

"We had a major problem in our room and that ants spiders and mosquitoes were in the room. The main door is not sealed property, allowing for these insects to enter. Staff could not find a solution for this problem."

"This place is a must go. From the moment you checkin and are greeted by Francisco to the time you leave, you feel like the most important person in the world. The guides we had (Simon, Rudolph) were incredible and got us up close and personal with the animals. We will be taking our family back! "

"Kruger Park Lodge in general is a very nice property. The property is very well kept, clean and well looked after. The facilities are great with the hippo hide where you can watch hippos safely as well as an extremely nice golf course on the property with impala walking on the course. Wonderful stay

"Our stay was wonderful. The hotel blends into the jungle environment for nicely. Even though the baboons are noisy running on the roofs in the morning, it is fun to see them and the other monkeys playing all around the resort. The buffets had a larger variety of options with different options at each night. We had friends who were celebrating an anniversary while there and the singing staff were incredible with their version of a happy anniversary song! The only thing what would have been nicer was if the pool was warmer (the pool that overlooks the river is shaded and quite cool and cloudy). But we had an absolutely wonderful stay at a beautiful resort. "

"Our stay at Elephant Plains Game Lodge was unforgettable. From the warm welcome to the seamless rooming experience, everything was handled with care and professionalism. The highlight of our trip was the remarkable safari adventures (game drives), where we had the chance to see elephants, giraffes, lions, rhinos, leopards, and more up close—a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience. The delicious meals, tailored to accommodate vegetarian preferences, were excellent. The staff also went above and beyond, assisting with retrieving our luggage from Johannesburg and providing thoughtful support with laundry and toiletries. Their hospitality and attention to detail made our stay exceptional. We are truly grateful for this amazing experience and will gladly recommend Elephant Plains to anyone visiting the area. We can’t wait to return!"
