"This was our 2nd stay in Villa Varkoula. It’s a simple but lovely villa, with pool and great views of hills. Very peaceful. A joy to watch the swallows/swifts dipping down to sip from the swimming pool, a few sightings of an eagle and cute bats in the evening. A car is essential, but the town of Lixouri and several lovely and not too busy beaches are all within a short drive. Perfect for a quiet getaway or as a base to explore the wonderful island of the Kephalonia."

"We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks, and loved every minute of it, the villa is in a peaceful spot with stunning views but only a short drive to all amenities, and lixouri. Frances was a great host, we arrived early hours of the morning to find the fridge full with all we would need until we could get to a shop. The villa itself is perfect for a family holiday, I particularly liked that it was designed for guests and we didn’t feel like we were in someone else’s home. We would definitely go...
