"After a challenging 12 months we needed time to rest and recover. Villa Fairytale delivered in every respect. The property is designed to make the most of its location overlooking the Gulf of Evia. The open plan living area looks out over the mountains and sea as does the pool and terrace. We spent hours getting lost in those views! "Great place for a quiet and relaxing holiday for a group of friends or family who want to be by themselves. You can walk out of the garden and go straight into the water. We had a dog with us and she enjoyed all the courtyard and garden. Nice barbecue facilities. All the commodities to cook your meals if you want to do that. "This is a beautifully designed suite, just perfect for two. There is a lovely outdoor terrace with a view over the bay and the plunge pool is a bonus at the end of a hot sunny day. "What a beautiful villa, with stunning views in total peace and quiet. The pool and garden are lovely with lots of space to relax. The hammock is a great place to read in the shade of the afternoon. "We have had many rentals with VRBO - this is the first one which has not been 100% positive. The cottage is small, but attractive in a fantastic hillside location with a stunning view. But there was building work going on in the adjacent property. Parking was on the dirt are behind that property and shared with the builders. Our shoes got instantly dusty. Some of the building debris had made its way onto the grounds of our villa; A construction block, rusty wire, a discarded water...

"We had a lovely 5 night stay at the cottage in August. The location was perfect for us to walk into town and Velanio beach. The cottage was spacious, very clean and outdoor areas are beautifully kept. Efi & Mike are great hosts, gave us loads of information when we needed it and helped with ferry info when ours was cancelled. Looking for to staying There again in the future."

"15 of us came out and stayed a week to celebrate a 60th birthday party. The drive out from Athens was smooth with some twisty mountain roads. The house was lovely and exactly as seen in the images. The view and the pool were everything we could hope for. We were disappointed the coast road north of the villa was closed and "may" be reopened sometime in 2025. It made all the northern beaches about an hour drive through the mountains. However the towns south of the villa (Rovies and Limni) were...

"Breathtaking views of the sea and clean, modern interior. Beautiful be h nearby with dining options and a supermarket with fruit/ yogurt / nuts. A little far to walk to the nearby town so recommend having a car. Parking is on a fairly steep slope which may be challenging for some. Overall an excellent value."

"We had a very relaxing time and especially enjoyed the small private beach at the bottom of the garden. The owners were very friendly and helpful and generously provided a bottle of wine and an amazing cake."

"Overall, a very good stay in a lovely hotel with amazing staff and lovely views. Pro's; Very cheap hotel and what is on offer greatly outweighs the price. The staff are incredible, anything that was requested was adhered to and offered everything they could to help. A lovely pool and jacuzzi available at all times. Lovely views. Great location away from the hustle and bustle but with shops, bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk. Very nice sized rooms for the price paid. Very efficient air con. Cons; If you're not into walking the hill up to the hotel can be a bit much, we were fine with it, but i would recommend a quad or a car if you struggle with steep hills. No breakfast or food options, but enough amenities around that this isn't an issue. The greek sanitary system (not the hotels fault, but due to other inconsiderate families constantly flushing toilet paper down the loo, our bathroom flooded which was rather unpleasant, but the staff were amazing in how they dealt with this) Pro's outweigh the cons but a landslide and the staff are an asset to the hotel. We had an amazing stay and if we ever come back to Skiathos we wouldn't hesitate to book here again, maybe just in a different room due to the ignorant other guests. "

"Fantastic stay at Elivi. Facilities were fantastic and the hotel grounds are stunning. Impeccable buggy service around the grounds. Upgraded when we arrived and had our own pool. The restaurants were great, only negative was that the restaurants were very empty for dinner but that was more because it was end of season. Only criticism was that the bars by the beaches closed at 6pm and we wanted to sit with a drink and watch the sunset but no bars open. Again, think this is different in peak times. Overall, fabulous stay. A little expensive but fully worth it for pure luxury and relaxation. "
