"We spent a very pleasant evening at Chateau de Pintray. The owner, Anne, is delightful and kindly booked dinner for us in an excellent restaurant nearby. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the breakfast was substantial and delicious. Highly recommended, and if we visit this part of France again we would certainly stay here again."

"The hostess/owner is fabulous! She went above and beyond to help make our stay in the Loire Valley run smoothly. She even drove us to and from the car rental agency! Breakfast is delightful, including home made jams, and the location is beautiful. I wish we'd had more time to stroll around the property. There is a small shared kitchen with plates/glassware, utensils and a fridge. Go to the Amboise market for picnic foods and dine al fresco on the property at one of the outdoor tables. Highly...

"Manoir du Parc is an exceptional hotel. It is a beautiful mansion with lovely high-ceilinged rooms and perfect French decor. It has a small private park and swimming pool. The owners, Gaelle and Bruno, are welcoming and helpful. The location is perfect—easy walking distance to the Loire and tourist center without the bustle."

"Quick one night stop over on route from UK via Cherbourg to Dordogne. 2 adults 3 young kids. We booked the wooden Summerhouse/Chalet because it was more fun for the kids. We got exactly what we booked, perfect. Our host was very friendly and helpful given our poor spoken French. Woke up with the song from the birds in the woods. Breakfast was perfect, great coffee, freshly baked bread, home made jams, apricots, yoghurts and pain au chocolat."

"Staying at Manior was like staying in one of the nearby palaces with magnificent gardens,and an incredibly grand bedroom. The bathroom was so large there were 16 quite large paintings hung in it. From the chocolate on the night stand to fragrant bath salts to complete shoe care options it is the epitome of luxury."

"Clean, air conditioned room, comfortable bed, good shower. Only one bedside table, no drawers or hanging space. The bar and restaurant had been very nicely refurbished. We sat outside for evening meal, garden bit overgrown and meal felt rushed but food was good. Breakfast was basic, just croissant, coffee, juice and bread. Good location for exploring the area."
