The holiday resort in which it is located offers rental boats, a billard table, tennis courts, crazy golf, a play park, wind surfing, kite surfing and fresh bakery products in the morning. The beach is a leisurely 20 minute walk away, but you can use the bicycles provided and get there in 5. The house is perfect; spotlessly clean, lots of space and every commodity...

"We are a group of 5 women (ages 55-87) and we stayed for 4 nights. This house was a perfect base for our daily trips to tour the 11 cities. While we didn’t cook much at all, we noticed the kitchen was very well equipped. We mostly just enjoyed evening snacks and wine and the water view is very tranquil. The stairs were easy to navigate for my 87-year old mother and we appreciated having bathrooms both up and downstairs. The couch was comfortable and we loved having a screen on the sliding door....

"This quiet back-water close to the town of Makkum makes an ideal base for chilling out and communing with nature. For the bird-lover the area teems with wildfowl. We heard a Bittern. We used the spacious accommodation as a base for cycling and were not disappointed. The hosts were kind and considerate. Home-produce was available from this small-holding."

Mein Lieblingsplatz war am Fenster mit Blick auf den Kanal und die vorbeifahrenden Schiffe . Auch von den Ausflüge in die Umgebung mit den kleinen gepflegten Orten haben wir sehr genossen. "Accommodation was fine. Lovely little pub 5 min walk from property. Only problem was getting the key from reception as they said didn't seem to know we were arriving. They also couldn't find the key after speaking to the owner, eventually gave me the spare key but it was a bit stressful at the time. I must point that this was reception's fault and not the owner of the property."
