"Excellent property which takes you back in time and the simplicity of life. Excellent staff - very cordial and great breakfast makes for a total package. For folks who might need to be in touch with reality, one area that might need some improvements is the electrical part of the rooms with a little more modern sockets etc as nobody can stay far from technology…"

"Hotel was more run down than I expected, though I assumed it’s an older hotel. They could do so much with this location to improve experience. Room was fine and huge bed. Mattress not the softest. Great anur conditioning. Also limited hot water when I arrived at night. Had hoped to have a bath after long travels. As others have commented there is a very loud dawn chorus early morning. "Hotel was under remodeling which was naturally not advertised during booking, so there was a general look and feel of dust everywhere. There was a general feel of uncleanliness in the family rooms I paid for. The bathroom has an unpleasant smell. The bedsheet was not clean when we walked in but they replaced it right away. The restaurant food was just average, not recommended even for coffee (they offer Nescafé which is a pity considering Kumbakonum degree coffee is amazing). Better to go to...

" Never expected this much facility standard in a hotel located in a second level city like Kumbakonam. Hotel is very clean and well maintained. Hotel is proximity to all local temples . Food served in the hotel attached restaurant is very tasty too. Eager to visit one more time sure-"
