Cozy Lakeside Cabin w/ Boat and Firepit

Conveniently located in north central WIsconsin, just off US HWY 51 (I-39) on beautiful Manitowish Lake in Manitowish Waters WI. Manitowish Lake is one of the pristine ten-lake Manitowish Chain of Lakes. Birchwood is a single unit, open concept studio cabin with one queen size bed and one queen sleeper sofa (). From the great room guests can enjoy a quiet view of the nearby lakefront and the majestic hemlock and birch trees that surround us. The cabin has a fully supplied kitchen, towels and linens provided, bath with shower, outdoor grill, Direct TV, paddle boat and fishing boat with 15 hp motor included. Boat slip is available for your own boat. Swimming and snorkeling off dock. Cabin just 44 ft from the water. Some of the best small mouth bass fishing in North America. Also, all 10 lakes of the Manitowish Chain are Class A musky. Directions: Just 23 miles North of Minocqua on US Highway 51 (I- 39). Turn left (West) onto Powell Rd; in one mile turn left (South) onto Alder Lake Rd; in approximately one mile watch for our sign (Tom and Karen Everson) at 13412. We look forward to your visit.

Manitowish Waters Studio on the Lake!
Staying at this property was truely a pleasure with the beautiful scenery and being able to use the dock, kyaks and fishing boat. Tom & Karen's attention to detail in the guest studio was perfect as we had everything and more for our 4 night stay. They were gracious and wonderful hosts and we hope to stay again next year!

Great getaway!
The property is private, clean, and well kept. The cabin was spotless and the accomodations were perfect for my husband and myself. We felt like we were staying in a friend's coach house. We were very comfortable, the view was beautiful and our hosts Karen and Tom were very gracious and helpful.

Manitowish Waters Getaway
We stayed for a wonderful week at this cozy cabin on Manitowish Lake. The hosts were excellent and very friendly/helpful. We brought our own boat and spent a lot of time exploring the 10 connecting lakes. Our hosts gave us great recommendations/maps for fishing. Relaxing in the chairs on the dock was a great way to spend evenings. We visited delicious restaurants/supper clubs in the area (hosts provided lots of pamphlets about local establishments). We highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy cabin getaway. We will be back next year!!

Beautiful property as well as fabulous hosts
From the minute we arrived until the sad leaving we had a wonderful time. Karen and Tom were both very conscientious about making our stay comfortable. The property was impeccably clean and very nicely decorated and the grounds were beautiful. There was a plethora of information about the lake and surrounding area in the cabin and they were always ready to answer any questions we had. We hope it will be possible to return sometime.

Excellent Location…Wonderful Hosts!!
We lucked out finding this beautiful studio lake house last minute after having to cancel another trip. Absolutely beautiful property, directly on Manitowish Lake. The hosts, Tom and Karen, made sure everything was perfect for my husband and I. Everything is as pictured and described. The hosts are warm and welcoming, more than willing to chat and offer local advice for fishing and traveling in the area. We used their fishing boat…the fishing on this lake does not disappoint!! We plan to return next year. Fishing is excellent. Restaurants are excellent, our favorite is The Blue Bayou. If you visit, stop in the little shops in town. To The Nines has beautiful gifts!

Fantastic Getaway!
If you want to get away "to the cabin" but still want the conveniences of home, this is the place for you! This beautiful studio cabin was just what we needed to relax with our family in comfort. Thomas and Karen are exceptional hosts and we left feeling we had made friends for life! They provided all the things we needed to make our stay very comfortable! The fishing was good also (we chose this cabin specifically because it came with a fishing boat)! We enjoyed at least three meals of fried fish after going out in the little boat and finding a "honey hole" to fish in each time. The cabin was beautiful, the scenery was beautiful, the area around is beautiful, and these hosts have a beautiful way of making a getaway special! Not only can you utilize the fishing boat but also the fire pit, the lake for swimming, AND the dock for reading with your feet dangling in the water, (where you might just have a couple of ducklings swim under, like I did. :-) I hope YOU get to enjoy it as much as we did!

Out of this world!
This property is amazing; I can't say enough about the hospitality of our hosts, Thom & Karen. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome; the cabin is beautifully appointed with all the little details; you have to see it in person to really appreciate it. The pics are an understatement. There's so much to say so I'll just cover it in categories: Atmosphere: 5/5 The place was spotless when we arrived, kept at a cool temp by the oscillating fan; cozy lighting; soft music playing from the corner HDTV. Amenities: 5/5 Everything you could possibly need, and more, is included in this cabin. Kitchen fully stocked with dishes, utensils, wine opener, scissors, lighter, etc. Bathroom stocked w/little odds & ends. Fishing boat with 15hp motor. For such a small "studio" cabin there's plenty of space to rig the rods, relax, sprawl out. We never felt cramped. There is no A/C (to my knowledge) but we didn't need it. The trees provide lots of shade so there isn't much "greenhouse effect," and the oscillating fan kept the air circulating & comfortable. Service: 5/5 If I could give it more stars, I would. Our gracious hosts stay in the house nextdoor; not only did they give us a warm welcome, but they were available for assistance during our stay. When we arrived they looked over our map of the lakes and suggested some fishing spots. Thom also took us out in the Ranger for a ~30 min. tour. At one point my husband couldn't keep the boat motor running, and Thom came out back and helped him get the hang of the throttle. It was smooth sailing from there. At another point we ran low on gas in the middle of a neighboring lake, and Thom came out in the Ranger and refueled it. The best part was that he didn't seem to mind and never made us feel like we were imposing. One night they invited us to sit around the campfire, but we had dinner reservations. When we got back from dinner, they'd left a low fire burning, and 2 chairs. On our back patio was a small table with marshmallows graham crackers, and chocolate for making S'mores! We didn't catch a single fish during our entire stay, and still had one of the best vacations of our lives. Our only regret was that we spent so much time out on the lakes that we barely had time to enjoy the dreamy cabin. I definitely recommend this place. If you stay here, please be kind and courteous to your hosts bc they are wonderful people who deserve nothing less! Also, take good care of the cabin bc we will be back! ;) Lol.

Could not imagine a more perfect place for lake fishing
This cabin was heaven on earth for my husband. He could use the small boat to go out fishing whenever he wanted. The host, Tom, clued him in to all the good fishing spots. Both hosts were very lovely. The cabin was perfection inside as well as outside; well located for groceries and restaurants, yet super quiet. We are already planning our next trip here!

Birchwood Reconnect
Great stay! Property was amazing tucked into the north woods with great lake front views. Cabin had a north woods feel was clean and had everything we needed for our stay, the dock was nice for docking boat and fishing was toss in a line and a fish hits (we were going for pan fish with worms but did get a couple small bass also). We enjoyed the cabin, fire pit, swimming in the lake using the floating swim platform, the paddle boards and paddle boat. Lake was great for skiing! Tom & Karen were great host and great company!
