Disliked: Cleanliness
Property should be removed from market until repaired
Positives: The location and view were beautiful; a new deck was beautifully built; furnishings and decorating were nice; kitchen was well stocked with new appliances; bath towels were clean and soft; little extras like bath wash and shampoo; and lots of soft throw blankets for cuddling. Negatives: This house was poorly built and is now desperately in need of repairs and maintenance. Not safe. Terrible mice infestation with poison traps under beds. Heard them in the walls, saw droppings and one popped out in bathroom. Evidence of water infiltration everywhere. Water was pouring in under the patio door and leaking into the lower level during rainstorm. Stairs were way too steep with no hand railings. All but one exterior door to the deck were nailed or taped shut. Queen bedroom door was so badly aligned that it had a large gap filled with foam insulation, duct tape and nailed strips of wood. Metal strap under the new deck keeping one of the patio doors from falling into the house. Main floor was sagging badly and 2x4s were being used as support beams. Tongue and groove flooring had many gaps, up to 1/2 inch wide, where you could see through to the floor below-- no subfloor. Fireplace had a wooden hearth with evidence of burn spots from embers. Extension cords were run all through the living room, including under the patio doors where water was leaking. Basement had gaps where you could see daylight. The rotting exterior siding left gaps in the walls and around entry door.
