This lodge is roomy and delightful! Everything you need is here-Cable TV, WiFi, Washer & Dryer and more! This cabin is located in Manistique, Michigan which lies along the south shore of Indian Lake. Indian Lake is 8400 acre spring fed lake. The Lodge is 100 feet from the shoreline, behind cabins #5 & #6, with a great view and easy access to Indian Lake. Indian Lake is the fourth largest inland lake in the Upper Peninsula with an area of 8,400 acres. It is 5 miles long and 3 miles wide. Indian Lake has a maximum depth of 18 feet with about 90 percent of the lake less than 15 feet deep. Game fish include perch, walleye, northern pike, muskellunge, rock bass, smallmouth bass, bluegill, sturgeon and brown trout.

This vacation spot is great for swimming, boating, water sports, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, biking and sightseeing. Also, a cozy spot during hunting season. Easy access to launching your boat is best at the state park nearby (1/2 mile from the Lodge and a $4.50 per vehicle if you do not have a State sticker in your window.) We do recommend pulling your boat nightly due to the high winds.

Big Springs "Kich-iti-kipi": Michigan's largest freshwater spring. Two hundred feet across, and 40-feet deep. Over 10,000 gallons a minute gush from fissures in the underlying limestone at a constant 45 degree Fahrenheit. By means of a self-operated observation raft, visitors are guided to vantage points overlooking fascinating underwater features and fantasies. Ancient tree trunks, lime-encrusted branches and fat trout appear suspended in nothingness as they slip through crystal waters far below. Clouds of sand kept in constant motion by gushing waters create ever-changing shapes and forms, a challenge to the imagination of young and old alike.
Indian Lake Golf Course: A very popular, 18-hole golf course along Indian Lake. Just 5 miles from the Cabin.
The Kewadin Casino: It is approximately 10 minutes (7 miles) from the Lodge. If you make reservations, they will pick you up at the cabin and return your group as well.
Historic Manistique Water Tower: The Old Water Tower is one of the many historic sites in Schoolcraft County. Built in 1923 and constructed in the “Roman revival” style, it is also listed in the national register. The renovated building will provide space for arts related public events and public rest room facilities while preserving one of Manistique's unique and historic buildings.
Fayette State Park & Historic Town site: Fayette was once one of the Upper Peninsula's most productive iron-smelting operations. Located on the Garden Peninsula at Snail Shell Harbor. When the charcoal iron market began to decline, the Jackson Iron Company closed its Fayette smelting operation in 1891. It is now a completely restored village including 22 historic buildings, museum exhibits and the visitor center, which can be toured May through October. The historic site is located in Fayette State Park.

Indian Lake Lodge was such a fantastic place to stay.
I would rate this a top rvbo. The only issue we had was that there was no soaps for showering supplied. Otherwise, communication with staff and accomodations were excellent!

Nice, clean, comfortable cabin
Cute, private beach area. Bottom of water is rocky- wear water shoes if taking a dip. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets there. Kitchen nicely stocked with basic cooking utensils and appliances. Bed sheets were nice and soft. Ample seating in living room area, all four of us were able to sprawl out when we decided to watch a movie. Nice and clean, very spacious. We were super comfortable here, honestly felt right at home. I would definitely come back to this cabin.

Great Lake home with all the necessary amenities.
Lovely visit with family in the area. The home afforded great views of Indian Lake with all the amenities of home. Easy check in and checkout. The host responded in a timely manner. The place is difficult to find at night due to the drive being fairly hidden but after a day or so we didn’t have any more difficulty.

Beautiful, clean cabin!
We had a great stay at this cabin! We were really impressed with how clean the property was. It was perfect for what we needed. We had 4 kids under 8 and they had a great time too. It rained one of the days so they were excited to have internet and Netflix. We did have a little trouble finding the place but after asking a few locals where to go, we found it. (Just remember the GPS doesn't take you to the house ha!). Overall, we'd love to come back with a boat and explore Indian Lake. Great property!!! Thank you! Meg

Cozy cabin off of Indian Lake. Could view lake from front of cabin. Cabin could use a little TLC and repairs. Beds were comfortable, cabin was clean. Close to activities. Worn out and broken furnature, generally needed a good scrubbing and updating. Called the property managers, Freshwater Vacations and they virtually leaped through hoops to help us relocate. They were the finest folks we ever worked with. The Manastique property, however, was very disappointing

The cabin is a great size, very clean and has everything you need. We really enjoyed our stay. Only suggestion is to mark the entrance better. We drove in circles for over an hour trying to find the cabin. In a panic, I called the emergency number twice for assistance, no one answered it called back.

Great location`
Overall this was a good place the stay. The communication was great with the owners and with the management company. The owners do live next-door and they did say hello upon arrival and leave some yard games during the middle of the week. The house was fairly clean however there was a mice problem. The owners did put out some traps when notified that were successful. =) Location is great, the state park that is right next to the cabin is great for kids and was super quiet. The swim area at the property is not for kids. This is filled with rocks but beautiful for watching the sun set. We all had a great week and loved our stay in the UP.
