Great cabin, secluded in the woods about 30min north of Manistique. Plenty of room for our group of 9. Cabin had all the basics of what you’d need for a couple of days out in the woods.
Beautiful, peaceful, spacious cabin with everything we needed. Unfortunately there were quite a few mosquitos at the time we visited (mid-June), so we couldn't enjoy the deck or the lake very much.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The view from the back of the home out over the lake is beautiful and very relaxing. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. One of the seats for the paddle boat was broken, so we were unable to use it, but we enjoyed paddling the rowboat around the lake. The neighbor dog is very friendly and came over to greet us several mornings. If we travel to this part of Michigan again, we will definitely look into staying in this home.
This property is secluded in the woods but a short quick drive to Munising. This was within an hour or 2 of all the places we wanted to visit like Mackinac Island, Paradise, Whitefish Point & more. The neighbors & dog were really nice and came over to warn us that a mama bear & cub were spotted across the street from us and to be aware and not to leave food in car or outside. This house is bigger & nicer than the pictures show. Large master, 2 bedrooms upstars with full beds, loft with futon and bunks on bottom floor. House was clean and had everything needed. The commercial Bunn coffee pot was wonderful and had coffee ready in minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

Bootlake house! Don’t worry they thought of it!
Anything you think you need to bring, you probably don’t! This home away from home was packed full of usable supplies!
I was so impressed, & we have been members for a very long time!
Normally you have seconds or third hand pans to cook with & you improvise a lot! Not here! It’s the good stuff!
The only thing I brought that truly added to our experience here was my spices!
The beds were comfortable & 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. Last bedroom in lower walkout has 2 sets of bunk beds. There is a separate bonus area upstairs.
Lots of stairs to the water, but once you get there you can launch a row boat or paddle boat & took around the lake.
20 mins. to Munising for gas & groceries & lots of hiking & exploring.
1 hour from Marquette, which had a Blueberry festival going on! Lots to do folks in several directions from here.
We enjoyed the hospitality of our host Kendra. She was responsive & helpful!
Next time we come up, I will be sending a request to Kendra. Thank you from the Buntings!
Stayed 4 nights to go grouse hunting. The property was a great place to come back to, relax, and enjoy the view. We heard coyotes two of the nights and saw the northern lights when we had a fire. Overall very pleased with our stay and would recommend.
Overall this cabin was awesome. The owners are very nice and responsive. Very quiet and peaceful. Everything you could ever need, including all cooking items and utensils. You really don't have to bring anything. The cabin is minutes from Munising, with many trails and lakes. I will definitely be booking this cabin next year.
The cabin was very nice. Nice layout. It was very spacious for the 8 of us. Loved sitting on the deck in the morning with my coffee looking at the lake and the trees. The 71 steps up and down to the lake were a little daunting be we all managed. Thank goodness for the bench half way up. The only thing lacking that we needed was a pizza cutter. Also it would be nice to have a little more direction on what you with the bedding and towels when checking out. Overall Loved our stay there.

Issues with cleanliness and maintenance
Kendra was quickly responsive to all inquiries but cabin left much to be desired in the area of cleanliness. Cabin was spacious enough for a large group but our group was small and had to do some cleaning before settling in but were still turned off by the condition of the carpets, the shower, dresser and kitchen drawers. The paddleboat was unusable as one seat was missing and it was full of water. I hate leaving negative responses and generally don't, so I've tried to balance this.
This was our annual family vacation. Everything was good except a broken ceiling fan and dryer. These were minor irritants. Overall very good trip. Unfortunately parents had to leave on Tuesday because of a family death.
Very enjoyable and loved the location. Owner easy to work with.

Great Snowmobile Getaway!
The house was beautiful inside and out. The hosts were readily available for any questions or concerns. There is a lot of room for a bigger group. The house is loaded with everything you may need for your stay with the exception of food of course. We will definitely consider staying at this rental house in the future.
Thank you Kendra and Jeff for a most enjoyable stay in the comfort of your home! :-)
