Cozy 1 bedroom cottage walking distance to Lake Michigan & downtown!
This cozy and relaxing space is a back unit 1 bedroom 1 bath with back yard deck access. This place is small but mighty! Just a short 10 min stroll to 5th avenue beach & a 5 min walk to downtown Manistee! This setup is a bit unique to provide a great little space for your family! The 1 bedroom holds a triple bunk each with twin size mattresses and a rollaway cot which can be used if needed. The living room has two fold out couches. One is your traditional style fold out couch & one is a IKEA folding couch (very cozy). One is full size and one is a queen. Both fit two adults each. The living-room ottoman tranforms into a single rollaway cot perfect for a child or small adult. This unit could sleep 6-9 depending on your personal needs. Unsure? Just ask! We are happy to help determine if this unit will work for your family! The cottage comes with many boards games, TV with internet so that you can watch your own personal Netflix or Hulu account, a gaming system, a fully furnished kitchen, and a visitor guild of all the fun things to do while visiting Manistee!

Our family is building a home in Manistee and when our plans changed for the holiday and winter season to stay with damily this little rental became our home. It was conveniently located, clean, and had everything we needed.
Very clean and cute place! You could see all the little details that the owner had thought of to make the stay more comfortable. We had a wonderful time and can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful experience at this place! Crystal, the host, was incredibly helpful and accommodating. The place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Its convenient location allowed us to explore Manistee, Sleeping Bears, and Traverse City easily. I recommend this rental for a fantastic vacation!
This is a cozy house with room for kids in the bunk room and adults on the 2 sofa beds. Close enough to walk to downtown Manistee and a bit longer walk to the First Street Beach.
We enjoyed our stay in the back porch cottage. Our only comment is that AC was not adequate to keep temperature comfortable. It got up to 77 at times, the small AC window unit couldn’t keep up. We had to buy fans to tolerate the heat. Otherwise, everything else was great!
Cute lake cottage feel. It's one part of a duplex that gets rented separately, but no access between the two, so you have your privacy. The larger beaches are about a mile walk and there's a smaller lake about half a mile away. The hosts were thorough with info about the property and the check in and out processes.
Crystal and her family have done a wonderful job putting together this little Back Porch Cottage! We had everything we needed to feel like this little space was homey and comfortable. Affordable, cozy, and excellent customer service is what you’ll get when you book this space!
The kitchen was great for making our own meals. The deck and grill were super nice added bonuses. We had games, tv, it’s close to the beach and downtown Manistee - everything we wanted!
Highly recommend and we will be returning!

very cute place to stay !
the host was very kind, let us know about events going on in the area. the house was very very close to the beach and downtown shops, usually we are about a half hour out when we visit manistee, so that was a very nice luxury.
however, it is a shared property so there are other tenants with you. not much privacy and was a bit uncomfortable, and wasn’t advertised very clearly. the pictures also make the space look a lot bigger than it is. it says it can sleep 7-8, but i wouldn’t recommend more than two adults, three at most.
the area we stayed, was the back porch area, however , we didn’t use the back porch very much due to the cobwebs and spiders (my boyfriend is a baby when is comes to spiders)
the living area itself, was very clean ! the hosts were also kind enough to leave some travel shampoo and soap and other utilities.
overall really cute place to stay with friendly hosts ! would more than likely book again !
My mom, sister, two nieces (ages 5 and 9), and I stayed here. It was exactly as advertised. Yes, it is small, but we all slept comfortably and there were still bed options we did not use. If we had bad weather, it would have been tight but thankfully the weather cooperated.
Everything is well thought out- there are easy to find instructions for things, a helpful binder, even extras like beach chairs.
It is conveniently located, but just beware if you come to the town during 2023, one of the bridges is closed for repairs. So everyone has to cross the river over a single draw bridge.
Thank you for hosting us. We enjoyed our brief stay in Manistee.
