"This place was a pleasant surprise. It is in the main town area and is surrounded by bars and restaurants. The only downside to this is the noise at night from people in the streets. It has not long been renovated so it looks and feels clean and modern. There is a lift and a bar downstairs. The staff were wonderful and helpful. I would stay here again!"

"Beautiful spot to just sit back and relax after spending a week in very busy Rome. San Lucido is definitely a “hidden gem” in Calabria. We had both dinner and breakfast in the “sun room”. The food was excellent and the service top notch. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. Loved everything about our stay."

"E' una struttura a conduzione familiare, semplice, ma fornita di tutto. Noi abbiamo alloggiato in una stanza per 4 persone, pur essendo in due, e siamo stati benissimo; bagno pulito e grande, unico neo la mancanza della doccia. Abbiamo fatto la mezza pensione e ci siamo trovati bene. Il rapporto qualità prezzo decisamente buono."

"We stayed 5 nights at the Duchessa while visiting family in San Giovanni. The hotel staff was very accommodating and treated us like family! The on site restaurant was a delight! The food was excellent and the service as well. The cafe was nice if you wanted a cup of coffe or tea or a glass wine. The sandwiches and pastries available as well! We will stay there again when we return to visit family"

"Abbiamo soggiornato negli appartamenti vicino al mare della struttura, molto comodi se si vuole trascorrere qualche giorno sulla vicina spiaggia molto comoda e bella come mare. Gli appartamenti sono nella norma all'interno di una palazzina a disposizione dell'hotel. Questi sono comodi e buoni per trascorrere qualche notte nei pressi di Amantea. Personale gentile e accogliente. Molto bella la parte hotel costruita come un borgo."

"We arrived exhausted from our road trip and were thrilled to see a kitchen well stocked to cook our evening meal. We unloaded our bags and were wisked off by Rene's family to take us to the local market for supplies. We ate our first meal ( and many more to come) on the lovely outdoor veranada.
