Large 3 bedroom 3 bathroom + huge loft home in Lakes of the North designed to enjoy the sun & snow for a large family, lots of friends or group retreats. Open living area with skylights, huge windows, tongue & groove aspen wood, very spacious kitchen & French doors to large deck to gather. Main level master with jet tub, huge main level utility/mud room with washer/dryer, 2nd level bunk room with 4 queen beds. Lakes of the North area offers no shortage of activities. Enjoy golfing, fishing, hiking, biking, riding trails, swimming, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice skating and more.

This home offers everything you need for a vacation you wont soon forget. Features include: Linens and towels provided, fully equipped kitchen, modern appliances, washer/dryer, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, propane grill, TVs, Foosball table, ping pong table, air hockey table, board and card games, basketball hoops, Bocce ball, Croquet Set, Badminton, corn hole, swing set, balls, frisbees, toys, etc

The Lakes of the North amenities include: beach access to Harold Lake and Pencil Lake, access to miles of DNR maintained ORV/Snowmobile trails, clubhouse with indoor pool, water slide, hot tub, lazy river and wading pool, fitness center, arcade/game room, 18 hole golf course, restaurant/bar, winter sports area with ice skating and cross country skiing. Daily or weekly passes can be purchased for use of the clubhouse. Lake Harold is just 2 short miles from the house and is a wonderful amenity to enjoy swimming, fishing, boating and more. Here you will find boat, canoe, kayak, paddle board rentals, sand volley ball court, basketball court, playground, pavilion with grilling and a beautiful setting to watch the sun set.

Fishing: Each year the association stocks about $3,000 worth of fish in the two lakes. In Harold Lake you can find pan fish, smallmouth and largemouth bass, perch, pike and Crappie. In Pencil Lake you can find pan fish, bass, perch, Walleye and trout.

Enjoy day trips to many great destinations. Located less than an hour from Traverse City, Charlevoix, Petoskey and Mackinaw City. Boyne Mountain, Shanty Creek, Otsego Club, Treetops Resort are 30 minutes drive. Mancelona is only 10 minutes away for groceries and Gaylord is only 25 minutes away for all your needs.

Trail Riding: The house offers a perfect set up for trips to ride trails. The half circle drive way offers easy access for pulling trailers and plenty of room for parking multiple vehicles and trailers. There is an 18' x 20' outbuilding that you will have access to for a locked storage to keep your toys over night. Whether coming in spring to fall for ORV trails or coming in the winter for snowmobile trails the proximity to the trails offers easy access. The mud room in the house offers a great drop zone for all your gear with more than enough space to hang up coats, pants, etc

Golf weekend
The house was great. Plenty of room for sleeping and entertaining. The game room will keep your family and your friends busy especially on those rainy days also the amazing fire pit area will keep you warm on those cool nights. Would highly recommend booking here.

Winter Weekend at the Eagles Nest
The Eagles Nest was the perfect setting for our family Winter Weekend ! We enjoyed eating meals together, the spacious atmosphere, beds were comfortable and the game room was a hit ! Had a blast at the pool in the club house. Thank you very much.

Amazing northern Michigan getaway
This house was fantastic. It slept all 16 of us comfortably and we didn’t have to fight for beds. The game room was a game changer and allowed us to have fun without having to go outside in the winter. The house was so well stocked with absolutely everything you could possibly need. The house is close to Boyne mountain and Mancelona so we had plenty to do up north. Scott, our host, was amazing as well as he was very responsive to our needs and he was very polite when communicating with us. Excellent rental!!!

This was a cozy spot. Spacious for everyone. The game room was a hit. Very nicely stocked kitchen. Those beds were heavenly. The pool clubhouse was a sweet little extra for the kids.

Great Family Weekend
I really wasn't sure what to expect but was very happy with everything! It was perfect for our family and everyone had a great time, from the youngest @ 1yo to my husband and I @ 58yo. There was something for everyone! The game room was used all day long and lots of basketball was played in the driveway! The firepit was the perfect way to end the day. The whole family sat around the bonfire, ate s'mores, talked, and laughed a lot. We will always remember this wonderful weekend! Scott was a great host!! He sent messages checking on everything and when there was a potential issue he called immediately. Thank goodness it was all okay but I knew by Scott's actions that we had nothing to worry about. I highly recommend staying at this house and with Scott as the host you can't go wrong!!

We stayed here for team bonding and a volleyball tri at Kalkaska. The house was perfect with the game room for the girls to enjoy. The double bunk beds allowed them all to sleep in the loft area to bond. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group. If we ever have a game this far north again we will certainly come back!!

Family trip with all kids and grandkids - 14 total. Very clean home with plenty of room for all of us. The game room was a big hit for the kids. We took advantage of Lake Harold for the two days. Kids loved the raft there. Home was stocked with everything we needed. Would highly recommend.

Fun Time
Plenty of room for the 3 families, and the kids loved competing with their parents and Grandma in the huge game room at The Eagle’s Nest. The kids even caught fish from the shore on Harold Lake. But the big splash was the clubhouse waterside, pool and whirlpool.

Womens weekend away

Exactly what we needed!
This was a perfect place for a family break. The game room was a game changer for the 5 kids and the pool was a perfect place to hang out with everyone. Not one complaint from our whole family. Can’t wait to do it again!!

Winter Wonderland
There was a huge storm before our stay which was out of property owners control. Was in good communication with me regarding this. Game room heater did not work so be prepared if it is cold that you will be freezing. No cable, and Wi-Fi is limited so be prepared for that. We had to stream the TV and there is not much service in the location so we were not able to use our phones as everything was trying to hook up to the Wi-Fi. Regarding the clubhouse unfortunately we were not able to use this as well as the owner did not have us authorized. The kids were pretty bummed about that as well. This was not stated on welcome letter, as I checked. Just a few things we were a little upset by. But the house is very nice but I would recommend not staying during the winter as it is pretty tucked back in and unless you have four wheel drive it is very hard to reach the location.

The house was great. Love that it had so many bathrooms. I traveled with a toddler, small kids and teens. This house allowed them to have all the alone time they wanted and family bonding time. The game room was the best. Only negative was my GPS taking us through a short cut which ended up getting 1 car stuck in snow. Luckily some friendly neighbors came and pulled us right out. We were able to use the clubhouse pool for 2days of our stay. The staff there were so nice and helpful. We had the whole pool area to ourselves. This house has everything you need you just have to come with food. I will say come prepared to get dirty. Lol all in all very amazing house great bonding time with my family. Thanks so much for having us.

Great place for large family
Everything was perfect for the 8 adults and 6 kids. Enough room inside and out and plenty of activities to keep the kids happy. The lake and pool were perfect and the short walk to "Dinosaur Ally" was a big hit.

Our family stayed here to celebrate my husbands life, he passed during the pandemic and we were not able to have a funeral. the house was perfect, it rained a couple days tears from Heaven I guess. Thank-You for the chance to share one last get-together with our family.
