This two-level condo is only a short 3-5 minute walk from the Canyon Lodge base area of Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort, offering guests outstanding access to the Village Gondola and the base of Chair 7, Chair 8, and the Canyon and Schoolyard Express Lifts. Grab your skis or board each morning and take the short walk across the street to the lifts to enjoy 3,500 acres that peak at 11,053 feet, spend the summer hiking to Devils Postpile National Monument (15 minutes) or admiring the otherworldly vistas at Mono Lake (30 minutes), and plan a day trip or two to natural wonder-of-the-world, Yosemite National Park (45 minutes).
Convenient outdoor parking (for up to 3 vehicles) in front of the unit. Complex has excellent common area amenities - pool, 3 hot tubs (2 outdoor, 1 indoor), rec room (foosball, ping pong, fire pit) and BBQ/picnic area. Park your car and leave it if you like, as numerous shops, bars and restaurants are easily reached by the free shuttle system or the gondola from Canyon Lodge to Mammoth Village - both just steps from your door and free!
Spacious unit features new flooring throughout. Amazing living room boasts 18’ ceilings, recently remodeled fireplace, large flat screen TV, wifi speaker and pull-out sectional sofa, along with panoramic south-facing views of the snow-capped Sherwin Mountains. Enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine while relaxing on the window bench in the dining room, as you watch the snow fall out huge double-paned windows, which open to allow cooling breezes in the warmer months.
Chefs will enjoy preparing meals in our well-equipped kitchen, which features new refrigerator with ice maker, new microwave, electric range/oven, dishwasher, and garbage disposal, along with all the tools necessary to make a five-star breakfast, lunch or dinner. Let your culinary skills loose while utilizing the new kitchen counter tops and mobile kitchen island, which provides extra prep space.
After a long day on the slopes or trails, take a soak in one (or all!) of the 3 spas which are less than a 1-minute's walk from the front door. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available within the development for your snow gear, bathing suits and towels. Then settle in by the push-button wood pellet burning fireplace (pellets included) and enjoy one of our many books, DVDs or board games. When you're ready to call it a day, put the kids down in the bunk room which comfortably sleeps four (1 bunk bed, 1 twin bed and 1 trundle twin bed) and then rest well between luxurious linens in one of our two master suites (1 king, 1 queen), both with ensuite baths (both featuring tub/shower combos and soft towels). Note: top floor bedroom is technically a loft but is truly separate and feels more like a private bedroom vs. an open loft, however does feature a small, shuttered pass-through to the kitchen, so consideration should be given to potential noise.

Mammoth Lakes is a quaint resort town in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. It's known for the Mammoth Mountain and June Mountain ski areas and nearby trails. The town is a base for Devils Postpile National Monument, a formation of basalt columns, and the soaring Rainbow Falls. To the north, saltwater Mono Lake is dotted with limestone towers and Yosemite National Park, with its granite cliffs and ancient sequoias, is within a 30-45 minute drive.

Getting Around:
Public transportation (free shuttles) are available across from the 1849 condo unit on Lakeview Road, as well as, at the Canyon Lodge parking lot. The Village Gondola (free) is available daily in winter from Canyon Lodge (across the street from the unit) to/from Mammoth Village.
