The Space:
In search of the perfect mountain getaway? Look no further than Sunstone #131. This 2 bedroom/2 bathroom condominium is perfect for a small family or group of friends. Snowboard and ski enthusiasts will love the prime location of this unit being within walking distance to the Eagle Lodge and Eagle Express Chairlift. This vacation home is great for the warmer seasons as well. Hiking, biking, golfing, shopping, and dining are all a short car ride or Uber away.

The living room features a plush oversized sectional couch arranged around a fireplace and flat screen TV. After a day on the slopes or on a chilly night light the fire to create a cozy ambiance. Curl up on the couch with your guests as you settled down for a movie on TV. If you need to catch a breath of fresh air, step outside onto the private balcony. The balcony has breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

The kitchen has white appliances and plenty of counter space. The chef can whip up anything from a yummy treat to a mouthwatering meal. Call your guests to the dining table with seating for four to eat a home cooked meal together. Off of the kitchen is a full guest bathroom with a shower/tub combo for guests to share.

Adjacent to the living room is the master bedroom. Get a good night's rest in here with a King-sized bed, TV, and attached bathroom. The guest bedroom is suitable if you are traveling with any children. This bedroom has a Twin over Full bunkbed and TV.

There is no wifi at this home. Unplug and unwind!

The Sunstone complex has a fitness center and laundry facilities. The BBQ stations, outdoor pool, and hot tub are only open during the summer. Some of the condo amenities like the hot tub and fitness center will not be available due to COVID.

Due to COVID, there are changes in ski resort availabilities. Please make sure to check the ski resorts’ policies on reservations and tickets if you plan on hitting the slopes. We cannot provide refunds based on reservation inabilities at the ski resorts.

Great time, great place! No AC which is probably only needed for a month or two anyway but the fire surrounding Mammoth made it a bit tough to breathe. The location is very convenient and condo was a great fit for us.

Everything was as it was stated. Nice and clean. Great location. Host was great. Underground parking was good too. Fit lifted truck. Barely but fortunately it did because there is no outside parking.

Awesome Location With Below Average Service
We arrived and picked up the four keys at a separate location as instructed only to find the keys did not work. We had to wait for a manager to bring us one new key as he promised to return following day with additional keys-he did not. WIFi is listed but the reception is awful-bring DVDs and don’t plan on using internet. The top bunk bed is very unstable and rocks back and forth like it’s moments away from collapsing.

Good place, could be better
Location was great for skiing, and the place is spacious for a mountain condo and clean. Would be nice to not have to stop in town to pick up and return keys, but oh well. I do think that at this price point you should be able to expect a better stock of dishes & pots. The only bowls available are tiny, so if you are having soup (as we did), good luck. We also made pasta one night and there was no saucepan that could hold a jar of sauce with meatballs. A number of maintenance items were also present, including bulbs needing replacement (one over the kitchen prep area and a heating bulb in the master bathroom), a slow draining master shower, and a broken toilet-paper holder. We did not have issues connecting to the building's wifi, though the unit having it's own would make sense.

Ski in/ski out convenience
If it wasn’t for the aspect of the ski in and ski out convenience, this would’ve been a three star review. But walking 20 feet with your ski boots on and strapping on your boards to ski down to the lift was perfect. My 25-year-old daughter said the place could’ve been cleaner, so that has to be factored Into the review as well. Some hooks in the bedrooms for clothing would also be useful as you always need to dry things out after a day of skiing. Overall had a great time with the kids and would do it again.

Location!
Marked off one star for the check in because of user(myself) for not being able to open the lock box but super thankful to the lady that come out at 1am to help me work the box ! The property is better than the picture clean and super close to eagle lodge. The insulation is fantastic almost too good had to open windows to get some fresh air. Will definitely stay at this unit again!

Superb location for Eagle lift
Sunstone is a great complex for fast access to the Eagle lifts, and my family has enjoyed the complex on previous visits. The condo is clean and tidy, just as the pictures show. It has a large comfy couch, for relaxing. Also, you can sit on the patio and watch the skiers return from their day on the slopes! Unfortunately I missed the info that the Wifi is not working. It's not too big of a deal if you have decent cell phone coverage. Although, that means there's no access to streaming, ie Netflix. We weren't able to get the fireplace to work, but the heat in the bedrooms worked just fine. I would return to this condo, again, for sure.

Great condo with a few summer drawbacks
The condo is like new and very clean. The location of being near the bike path and close to town is wonderful. The view of the mountains is superb. The price was very reasonable and we greatly appreciate that. There are a few drawbacks for summer renters that others should be aware of. The pool was not heated to a reasonable temperature. It was too cold for our kids to swim / play in. In fact everyone that we saw get in the water could not stay in it for long. We asked the pool maintenance person and they said it was heated but it was not (or certainly not to a reasonable temperature). This was disappointing. Secondly, the condo was very difficult to cool down. The windows truly do not open enough to cool the condo down. We ended up keeping the patio door open all day to keep some air coming in. The windows in the bedrooms need replaced with usable windows so that the cool air can come in. I had read the other review that mentioned this and wondered if they were exaggerating, but they were not! I do not understand how anyone could have thought those windows would be appropriate year round. These challenges are only during the summer months. It was overall a nice place to stay and we enjoyed our week in Mammoth!

Not great!
The location is great.... condo not so much! The carpet is filthy... no way would you walk barefoot! It was unseasonably warm when we were there last week and there is no air conditioning in the unit. The windows are some type of Eco-friendly..... only the top opens about 2 inches. The door leading to the balcony hits the L-shape couch, so it can only be opened about 2 feet. My husband had to turn sideways to go out to the balcony. Needless to say, it was extremely warm inside the unit. I will say, though, the view is fabulous! There are so many things to do in Mammoth, so thankfully we were not in the condo much!

Great location & condo space
This is a great apartment, we had an awesome time thank you! Loved being in the condo closest to the exit because it was super easy to pop out & go sledding with the kids. A couple of notes for the Owners (am sure these are one-offs but thought you should know): 1. You might like to do a spot check on the cleaning service because there were dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived and also some serious nasty spots in the bathrooms have escaped attention (inside edge of toilet bowls, shower corners that sort of thing... not major but still; you're paying a full price for cleaning so they should do it properly right?!) 2. The apartment was understocked for our 5-day stay with no tea-towels in the kitchen, half box of tissues in one bathroom and nearly empty in the other and really insufficient toilet paper and soap. You think they'd be more generous with the cheap stuff they put out instead of forcing us to go out and buy more (...and I asked a cleaning service I found in the hallway but they were not forthcoming at all?) 3. The condo wifi account is locked & the advice to "restart the modem" from mammoth vacations did nothing... I made 2 calls to try & get it sorted out but after that I gave up because I had things to do. The Sunstone wifi was ok but it's unsecured so not something guests can do any say banking or business through. One final request - can you please get a decent tableware set in there... it doesnt have to be $$$ spendy but just one that has cups bigger than thimbles. Thanks; fix these minor issues and its a 5-star place.
