Mountainback #42 is a beautifully contemporary remodeled condo that can provide a comfortable and home away from home experience! This unit has a light, open and airy feel to it. All new wooden floors downstairs, new carpet upstairs & flat screen TV's in the bedrooms and living room. It is also dog friendly.

Maximum Occupancy: This unit can house 10-12 people.

Bed Arrangement: In the master bedroom there is a king bed and a flat screen TV with a tub shower. The second bedroom is very spacious with a queen bed, with a flat screen and a walk in shower. The loft is set up as a play/game station for the whole family or just lounge around and enjoy the view. The sofa in the loft does pull out for extra sleeping space. The loft extension has 2 sets of double size bunk beds and again, a flat screen TV. With a full bathroom between the loft and left extension.

Condo Amenities: There is Wireless Internet in this unit, a flat screen TV and a propane fireplace operated by a remote control in the living room. Washer and dryer available for renter's use! Kitchen is fully equipped and state of the sleek look. Cook to your hearts content!

Views: Unit 42 has a wonderful view of the Sherwin Mountains and there have also been bear sightings!

Walking distance to Canyon Lodge perfect for skiing/snowboarding in the winter and hiking/biking in the summer!

Maximum 2 vehicle parking. One assigned underground parking space (7’ Clearance). Second space is first come first serve.

The premises has 6 jacuzzis and 1 swimming pool open in the summer with bbq area!

Needs major upgrades
For any savy vrbo-er, ‘know before you go’ is key to an enjoyable stay; I will certainly admit that I knew this place was going to be sketchy as far as modern comforts and I was looking to not pay outrageous rates to stay between Xmas and New Years... so yes, you get what you pay for: electric stove, decor from the 70’s including the flowery wallpaper, floor heaters, tacky outdated furniture, cupboards and fixtures, no wi-fi, no elevator (luggage & skis/boots hauled to 3rd floor), 2 tiny TVs (1 doesn’t work)... but the space worked for two dads and two boys.

Absolutely wonderful!
I came up here with 10 friends, and we had two queen beds in bedrooms, a twin pullout couch in the living room, and two trundle beds (which separate into 4 single beds) upstairs. We LOVED this place. It has so much light, beautiful woodwork, and is an awesome location. Yes, the walk is somewhat uphill towards the lifts, but we didn’t mind. It was way better that driving and searching for parking. They gave us two garage spots (which was ESSENTIAL during the snowstorm we were in), and one overflow parking spot. We can’t wait to come back - thank you for providing such a great space to us!

Could not have been better!
I made the drive from LA with 5 teenage kids and the apartment was perfect. In fact we could have had more people come it was so big and there are so many sleeping options. Walk outside to hop on the blue line and you could even walk to the main lodge if we wanted to. Check in and check out was simple and the amenities in the room were also great. We are already talking about coming back in February

Large Condo for a group
The condo sleeps plenty of people and has 3 bathrooms so it was comfortable for our group. The beds were comfortable but the condo has not been updated at all and the kitchen wasn't as well equipped as most other condo's I've rented. The Mountainback location is close to the Canyon Lodge and the Village so it provides easy access.

This is really a nice place for families and friends to stay
The condo house is really good for 2 families to stay together. But my question is how do they count for 10 beds? I only found 8 in fact...The sofas were unable to transform to beds. Meanwhile, the furniture was a little bit old...It's hard to imagine that there was no TV, or they can call the monitor is a TV...So far, well, the place is still good. We had a great fun time.

Nice corner unit with plenty of room for large group
Nice place, corner unit & plenty of room. But this unit is on 2nd floor so if stairs are a problem wouldn't recommend it. No elevator! Parking is limited to 2 cars, period. Bonus, this unit had two aerobeds! Came in handy with large group with kids. This unit claims to be within walking distance of mountain, which it is but it is all uphill and quite a distance. And, this part of the mountain appears to be for more advanced skiers. This complex is large and does not identify each section with unit numbers on the street. So if you come in at nite, very difficult to locate your unit. You have to pull and out ofi each section's driveway to see if your unit number is there. Numbers were located only on parking garage's entrance. If you pick up keys from lockbox, office personnel should put specific directions to your unit! This would be so helpful. This is all because I believe they do close their offices too early at 5:00 pm. Mammoth was beautiful and we loved it. We will be back for sure.
